Furthermore, considering that Hiro is the first Asian-American male to be the lead in a Disney animated feature, I think it's kind of important that he be a face character and not some walking foam cartoon.

But in the movie, they really look like adults, exept Alice. But if Alice is talking in the parka she talks with a ver high pitcht voice. I don't think that Hiro will talk like a kid.No one seems to have a problem with the ladies being too old.

I agree he looks fairly pedestrian. However I assume they wanted him to be a face character so that there could be a level of interation with guests outside of just signing autographs and taking pictures.

Ehm... I don't really know if I'd say that Snow looks like an adult in her movie. Her actions certainly seem typical of a naive 14-year old girl.

Just looking at comments out in the regular world and we have people complaining he's not Asian enough and people complaining he looks too Asian.

Yes, but she looks like an adult. I don't think people really know the age of Snow White since I don't recall ever reading an article that came officialy from Disney saying she is fourteen or something like that. But about Hiro, it has been officialy released that he is a kid. Snow White doesn't look like a kid, Hiro does but he definitly doesn't as a facecharacter that is being played by a twentyfive year old.

When I saw it I was surprised how tame it was, Disney could easily stick it on a Blu-Ray as an extra; it doesn't feel that different to a regular behind-the-scenes documentary.
I was expecting all sorts of scandals and arguments, but it just told the story of making a film, without any particular sense of negativity towards Disney beyond an 'ah well' resignation to changes as a result of the development process.

Pretty sure they took out most of the Monster's University theming awhile ago. I say most of because the things like the greek stickers on the lockers were still there, but the backdrop and wardrobe was back to MI.
