Character Meet and Greets

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto; Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, Tigger, Heffalump & Roo; Jiminy Cricket, Tinkerbell, Chip & Dale, the Seven Dwarves, Chicken Little; Huey, Dewey and Louie; Doc McStuffins, Lambie & Stuffy; Figment; Flora, Fauna & Meriweather; Mr. Smee, Thumper, Genie, Nana; Nemo, Dory, Crash & Squirt; Flik, Dot, Slim, Heimlich & Rosie;

I do every Meet and Greet that I can find.

I might get roughed up with this question but our family weren't big fans of meet and greets... Personally, I used to like walking around in the parks and out of nowhere cross paths with them without any schedules...
Examples: Mowgli & Baloo in Adventureland... Breer Bear & Fox in Frontierland... There was even a time we climbed in Big Thunder Mountain and there was Cowboy Mickey on the train.

The last time we went the only time we saw the characters were during scheduled Meet&Greets or during parades. Is this a new thing? Why?

Well I love meeting Alice over by Mad Tea Party. Try asking her: "Why is a raven like a writing desk?"
She'll be pondering for a while. My other favorite spot is Pete's Silly Sideshow. There are so much characters to meet. I really want to try out the 1900 Park Fare character dining the next time I go (this Sunday) so I could maybe meet the Mad Hatter. I've spent years searching! I always wanted to ask him why he hates mustard.

No, it's not new. It's been that way for awhile

Why? Entitlest guest mentality to reduce complaints of not being able to find a character. Tokyo still does it the old way, mobs & all

So the reason was because of mobs... I didn't think it was a problem in those days... Anyways makes it hard for spontaneous high five on the way to the next ride!

I miss the spontaneous appearances also. They are now virtually unheard of at WDW. Why? Dunno, but my guess is more "crowd control".

I've said it before. The entitlest expectation has diverted all of the meet & greet budget plus some to the high capacity dedicated locations, leading to no money left to pay for atmosphere walk around characters
