Character Meet and Greets

Well, Donald is my fave, but it's not enough to just do a M&G. I really like to get Donald being Donald. So, I either like to make sure I'm in Donald gear at a place like Chef Mickey's so he knows he's #1 even though Mickey is the head cheese and I love to get a really feisty one who is all fired up. I let my girls do the M&G, but then I kind of egg him on from the sidelines.

Characters like Pooh, Tigger, Stitch, Ariel, and Mary Poppins are also faves for really getting into character. We've had so much fun talking 'hunny' with Pooh, we've gotten the girls into bounce off's with Tigger, Stitch can be such a hoot if you ask him how bad he's been that day and encourage him to do more, Ariel can get into full scale dinglehopper discussions, and we've had some amazing Mary Poppins experiences- from ratting out my girls to the princess for "un-princess-like behavior" to singing for my kids. My goal though is to finally meet a Mad Hatter who is truly mad!

Our most memorable interactions were with Tink, Rapunzel, and Jafar.
DWs favorite moment was meeting Pooh as she is a lover of all things Pooh.
I would like to have an indepth conversation with Captain Jack Sparrow. Matching wits with a smart-a$$ character like Iago or Mushu would be fun too.

DS has his birthday breakfast at O'Hana for Stitch, I am all about the Villains, Captain Hook was great he dropped my pen and when I bent down to pick it up he kicked me up the bum.
I had a great laugh with Donald I asked where was Daisy he turned his pockets out, we agreed that she was shopping with his money. I was wearing a baseball cap with Mickey ears on them and because Donald is number 1 he grabbed my hat and threw it away.

WOO HOO!!! Thanks for the info. If anyone sees a crazy lady molesting the Beast, well there is nothing to see here, just move along.:D

You do get to meet him in BOG. In the area that is the kiosks during lunch. They encourage your meet to take place AFTER you are finished dinner and then you exit through the hallway with the knights. We got very lucky when we were there that there was no line, so DD9 (who happened to be wearing her Belle dress) got to have a lot of extended Beast time!

My favorite and must do meet and greets are Mickey, Minnie, and Donald. Considering they are everywhere it's pretty easy to meet them, but I usually do a few of their meet and greets since they're always in different outfits at each one. I don't really have any strategies for meet and greets except for that if I see one and the line looks manageable then I'll hop in and go meet that character.

I absolutely want to find the Beast this trip. Have never seen him. Not sure where to find him yet, but I will do it! I'm gonna be stalking me some Beast this trip.

We found Beast with Belle in Epcot, we were asked did we want to wait for Beast to come out in about 5 minutes or just have our meet and greet with Belle. Well my daughter chose Beast and Belle. Poor Beast my daughter was so excited that when she hugged him she almost knocked him over. It was before we saw Marie in the little square/garden area around the french restaurant, next to water and in shade.

Here's a multi part question for you. 1 What are your must do character meet and greets? @What is your favorite one? 3 Whats your strategy for doing them? Thank you so much!!!

1) Must do- Tinkerbell for daughter, Goofy for me
2) my Fave was Peter Pan and Aladdin and Cinderella, it was all how those three talked with my daughter, Peter was asking about her trading Pins and why he wasn't on there, the ones she had of Peter Pan were not for trading whereas she had 3 of Hook that she was trading, and Aladdin was asking about her shirt which was her Camp Millhouse, a special needs camp, that had Monkeys on it, Aladdin asked if he could send Abu there to teach him some manners. For Cinderella my daughter asked where The Fairy Godmother was and if Prince Charming had to do dishes.
3) Strategy- We don't stand in long lines, if the line is short enough we will get in. We've not done fast pass the lines were short, well expect Rapunzel but daughter saw line and said "No Way can we go ride the carpets now". At one point we were in EPCOT in the England Toy Store I think it was and my hubby dragged me and daughter to the back of the store to see Pooh and Tigger with NO ONE in line, we spent about 15 minutes with them and so wished I had a video camera then, daughter got to bounce with Tigger and dance with Pooh. We could have stayed longer but another family had come up even though there was no line behind them we didn't want to be greedy. Dear Hubby had been walking around, saw a corded off area, peeked around to see Tigger and Pooh and their CM's all alone Tigger waved him in and he said just a minute and came and got daughter and I. I think the longest line was Woody & Jessy and we agreed to the wait becuse we had just come off of Splash Mountain and wanted to dry off and it was a nice sunny spot to do it. They took 2 breaks before getting to us and then another just after us. The night before I talk to daughter about who she HAS to see the next day and reminder her that we will get as many pictures as we can and see as many as we can but we wont see all. When we left WDW she had 36 autographs, and 45 different character pictures. That is not counting doubles of Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto.

Must see - Jiminy Cricket. Used to M&G lots others when my son was young. Now that hes an adult we just focus on Jiminy for us. We check with guest services or City Hall to see where hes appearing.
Strategy - We get to the area before the lines get too long and camp out. Cameras at the ready. Making sure batteries are fresh and film discs are ready.
Disney memory - One year at the end of our Back Stage Magic tour. The CM we were talking to knew how disapointed we were, especially my wife, that Jiminy wasnt appearing on stage at the time. He told us to wait and called somewhere. About 15 min afterwards we were met with an animator who took us into a backstage area. He took the time to tell us some fascinating Jiminy history, Ward Kimball stories, and gave my wife some Jiminy pins.

I'd like to do the 7 Dwarfs at MNSSHP this year. I'll line up around 6:45, I guess.

Kinda like to do Rafiki, too. Don't know if I ever will.

I don't usually do M&Gs. My favorites that I did do were all with my son. Flick was cool. So was Baloo.

I'm a MICKEY fan!:) My daughter loves Belle and Tinkerbell and we have spent many hours waiting to meet just about every character there is.:D We don't mind though, that's part of the magic.:D

In the Parks
No
Must Do's:
1. Donald in (especially in Mexico.)
2. Ariel, because she's my favorite Princess.
3. Gaston, because HE'S GASTON.
4. Mulan.

Favorite:
Definitely Gaston. He's oh so charming . But in all actuality, every time I've met him he's been spot on to the movie and I really enjoy interacting with him.

Strategy:
Just grab a cup of LeFou's brew at the tavern and then drink it in line (which usually isn't too long anyways). :)

We are doing Chef Mickey's so that I can get Donald picture, I think my dd would love to see Meredia (sorry think I spelled it wrong), we've seen the Beast but never have been able to get a picture. I always love when we run into something unexpected.
