What cracks me up about these threads is that you all still continue to go and then complain about it. Either vote with your wallet or stop whining. We continue to go because its fun. I would love for massive amounts of people to stop going, it would be great for those of us that continue, but this is a business and has to be run like that. It's not a charity.
It used to be a business and a great time. Now it’s just a business and lines.

Let’s face it, Wdw stinks compared to any time in its history right now.

I have stopped going. Right now I have better parks with more thrilling rides my family enjoys.

He’s right.

Some people went overboard (especially on the West coast, from what I understand.)

You have to make a theme park reservation now. Should there be none left for the family from Denver because locals want to go ride X again? You need balance.

There’s probably a better solution than just raising prices (more creative passes, especially for locals) but I don’t take any personal offense as if I’m not an appreciated guest.

As always in real life: the bottom line is the bottom line.

I guess we'll just see about that.

McCarthy said they were considering reducing portion sizes in lieu of racing F&B prices when she was asked specifically about inflation of food costs.

I'm not sure what this means.

Are you new here? I personally like the dining plan once in awhile and want it to come back, but Disney is losing money by not having it right now, so it completely goes against your narrative that they're somehow screwing the guests by not offering it. They're not offering it because they can't, because they don't have the bodies to staff all of the restaurants for all of the meals.
I just dk how disney is losing money by not having the dining plan… we just went thru this the other day how much more i paid bc there was no dining plan. Im sure im not alone in that.

See why we gave away (to children) and sold our DVC interests? We just don't want to go through the effort to FLY to a place where we are really not wanted...
If you have to fly in, I don’t think he’s referring to you.
Which makes it even worse b Disney has ruined the Disney experience.
…to you.

We just went to WDW 2 weeks ago, and on DCL last week. Nothing was “ruined” to me.

If folks want to be miserable about stuff - even Disney World - they’ll find a reason.

What they don't get is what a major pain in the rear this park pass system is on the front end.

Even taking the family from Denver who only visits once every five years. They already have to do a ton of planning. Now you're telling them that they have to do even more planning because they have to book yet another reservation?

I'm a WDW AP, but I live on MD, so I'm obviously only down here with a hotel reservation. I'm currently here and every single day, I've had a problem getting into the park because the system shows I have no park reservation, even though I most definitely do. A CM with an iPad has to come fix it, and it takes three times as long to get in the park.

Just add more blackout dates to the passes, make the APs without blackout or fewer blackouts more expensive, and be done with it. I wouldn't even be opposed to reservations on certain dates that are more popular (ex Christmas) but seriously, right now, absolutely no one needs a reservation to visit. It's absurd.

I think what it comes down to is how you look at the parks. For many they don't let the changes bother them as they enjoy the parks and family time. Nostalgia plays a big part into that.

My family didn't really grow up on the parks so the changes leave a bad taste in our mouths. We have found other parks that we enjoy more that doesn't involve all the planning.

He's nuts. I live less than an hour away from WDW. Our family has had at least 6 people with AP for about 20 years. We buy stuff at WDW for gifts. We go to F&W several times a year and buy all kinds of food.

You can't tell me that I spend less there then someone who goes only once every 5 years. I may not spend as much in one day but it adds up fast over time.

All I can say is that if they keep this up, Universal may start getting my money instead of WDW.
Well you’re kinda an “AP outlier” in todays sense

Not true. We went at least 2x per year and want to keep going, it’s just not appealing to us. Not miserable, Just expect more for the money we spend and Disney isn’t worth it any longer. To us.

If you like not getting your moneys worth, They have a deluxe resort they want to rent to you and some $30 chicken fingers.

But you live in Florida…which isn’t really who they’re trying to flush out…yet
