Changes to character meet and greets at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Any real reason why they simply seem to just be switching the locations for Donald and Daisy and Pooh and the gang? It's nice to see that Daisy will be returning to the park though! But is that whole brand new location really going to only have Mickey and Minnie?

Daisy doesn't currently offer a regular meet at Animal Kingdom, just Tusker House.

Pooh has been on the chopping block a while - this way they can zap it all when CM closes. Chipmunks are overkill too - hope they get changed out for someone else too.

I would guess that it is because Donald/Daisy are two characters, so better suited for the boat dock location, and Winnie the Pooh is three or four, which should be one per area in Camp Minnie Mickey, I think.

I don't know why they aren't moving into the new location though - who else normally meets in Camp Minnie Mickey? Could they be going in there?

It may be gearing up for Camp Minnie/Mickey to close down. Why else would they take Minnie and Mickey out of Camp Minnine/Mickey if not to close it down? They could have put any character into that spot? Simply moving characters around makes sense until the final close date approaches. Who knows what is going on with Avatar at this point, but the fact that the character shake up is still happening leads me to believe that there is still movement in the project. We will see.

The disney parks blog is a joke. All this stuff is not important!! I love that someone asked about Pandora and they are blatantly ignoring it...

Apparently they'd rather answer questions in regards to the Oz Garden Parks Blog Meetup and the Beautifully Disney Cosmetic line products. Yeah, Shawn Slater is getting grilled by Parks blog members about Pandora and pushing it to the side. Gotta love it but at the same time it reiterates what Mr.Spirit and other high profile posters here have been saying for the last yr or so that Avatar is on life support and can't really go into details until Tommy and his blogger crew get a go head from the higher ups to post about Avatarland. About once every 20-25 posts do you see decent info on their in regards to the parks, but yeah that says a lot. Most of the stuff on there is for pixie dusters/Lifestylers who are Disney Brand defenders to the max and will love and get into any post that is put up on that site. Which is why WDWMAGIC here is the REAL source of up to date Disney info whether it be rumors/news/cruise line/parks/movies, if it wasn't for this site, I don't know how I would be able to truly have the Disney IQ/Knowledge I have today as it is one reason Mr.Spirit says this site is for good purpose. Now to characters in the AK, I'd like to see a Todd and Copper from the Fox and The Hound but I know that will never happen.

Yes, there's too much Pooh in the parks, lol. Too many Chip n Dale meets too and they don't even wear a costume in AK or EP. Would be nice to see other characters, but we'll probably just get a Dinoland DJ/Whistle blowing Clown act.

This thread has reminded me how much Disney has oversaturated the market with what were some of their most beloved characters, or had the potential to be:

Pooh
Tigger
Eyeore
Stitch

And how disney had to pull the brakes on the Princess brand to avoid the collapse like they saw with Pooh and Gang.

so how often is Jiminy Cricket in Animal Kingdom? We went in Nov 2011 and were lucky enough to get in line for him before he left for the day. From what I have read here it sounds like I was beyond lucky.
