Champagne Brunch at Remy

Oh, and I also have to say that this trendy foodie business of topping everything with some kind of "foam" is just pretentious and ridiculous. IMO, of course. ;) Chili foam, indeed!!
I couldn't agree more!!! You know what I'd like with my lunch? FOOD. Not foam. It's utterly ridiculous. Thank you for saying it out loud! :)

I'm so glad y'all said something about the foam because I thought that was a fancy thing that was lost as a result of my lack of sophistication. I thought it was odd and would've prefered to have no foam on my food. LOL!

The foam is just a Molecular Gastronomy technique. Making a purée or mixture with you choice of flavor, adding gelatin or glycerine, putting it into a device comparable to what you find "whipped cream" in at your local supermarket, and voila. It's new, it's modern- do not be afraid (: Pick up a MG kit and see the things you can create. Molecular mixology is also popular!

I had the opportunity to dine at Remy for lunch last Sunday and i will say that I absolutely loved it. I was a little unsure about the menu but I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the Gnocchi and the Lobster Cannelloni. My Fiance Husband :) LOVED the Pork dish. I thought that the brunch was worth every penny.

Were there any breakfast-y foods offered??? Thus far it looks like all lunch- or dinner-type fare. So glad we have someone who tried it!!!

The menu was more lunch type items....The only thing that I can think might be breakfast is the Sea Bass dish. Which was decidedly much better than I thought it would be ... I will post pics soon.

Cool! Okay. Thanks. Definitely interested in pics. Lack of breakfast-y foods is making it not very likely for me to try. I don't eat fishy stuff. :P

Here are a couple of pics. I will have all of them in my trip report that I will start posting tomorrow.

This next one is my favorite from the entire meal.
