This just in from Local6.com and Orlando Sentinal "Spaceship Earth rolls off stand at Disney's Epcot due to earthquake, we'll retract the story and get our facts straight just after we get some press and tarnish the Disney name some more"
Disney's new biometric readers are definatly at fault on this one.

You could feel it at Disney. It was enough of a quake that a friend told me that it knocked Expedition Everest's sensors out of place causing the attraction to go down for most of today. I am not sure if it reopened after it.
That was just a rumor. While Everest was down most of the day it had nothing to do with the quake. At first it was looked at as a possibility because of the timing of it all. But the problem has since been resolved and had nothing to do with sensors at all.

Of the three people in my family, I was the only one to notice it. I even asked if they were noticing that very small but noticable vibration. So if you did not feel it that would not be unusual.

The difference between earthquakes in California and Florida

There was a 6.0 earthquake when I visited California two years ago. I was sitting on the sofa at a friend's house. I thought one of the cats was under the sofa because it felt like it was being hit from underneath. Nobody else even batted an eye.

I'm sure our west coast friends are wondering what all the fuss is about!:animwink:

I felt the earthquake in Jacksonville in the stadium. You got to love those fans. T NO, T NO. GO Jags. See if it was around the time of the game then I would say that it was the game no earthquake.

wow.. I live in the Peninsula of Yucatan, just across the Gulf of México from Florida and didn´t feel it. About a week ago, I read in the newspaper that there had been a little earthquake that was felt in some areas of our State, not in the capital city... uh oh...

At 11am, I was at Universal but I certainly didn't feel a thing. My mom lives a little north of Clearwater and she didn't notice anything either. Everyone I know around here (Tampa) heard about it after the fact on the news.

Odd.
