Yeah, the second week it was open that year. It was having problems but opened just before we were about to leave so I was able to get on. It instantly became my favorite.

Hey, darthdarrel, how about May 14th? I might be meeting some people from a Cedar Point forum as well that day, and I'll be there the whole weekend!

I've heard of Cedar Point. Its not too far from where I live (about 3 hours). However I'm not a big fan of it. I don't like roller coasters so I find it boring. My high school marching band marches there every August so I went every year for 4 years. Spent all day riding the non-roller coaster rides with the 6 or 7 other kids in the band who didn't like roller coasters. We called our selves the Non-Roller Coaster Group. lol Haven't been back since my senior year in 2001.

Not exactly sure, I will have to let you know as Star wars Ep3 is coming out that week and I have to prepare for that!

 Oh, sure, Star Wars is more important than Cedar Point... right.

Actually, there is a pretty good movie theatre in Sandusky. Two-in-one vacation, anyone? :)

I live 40 minutes from CP, and have gone there every year since I can remember. Unfortunately I've become disenchanted with the place, and will not be renewing my Season Pass for the first time in five years. However I'm content with visiting once a year, and will be making a day-trip in July (not because I want to, but because I'll be with friends).

I've ridden a similar ride at Paramount's Kings Island called "Delirium," and let me tell you that if it is anything like Delirium, it will be one hell of a ride. Unfortunately, because of CP's gross overcrowding, expect the ride to take a good chunck out of your day.

By the way, if you're scared of this kind of ride, I'd advise you to try it anyway. I hate rides like Chaos and the Zipper that throw you every which way, but Delirium was amazingly tame and exciting for me.

I worked at Cedar Point in 1995

A few notes:

-The park thinks quanity is better than quality.....while it has a lot of rides, many are just average.

-The park attracts many people who just should not be out in public

-Never go on a Saturday, or your wait times will be insane

I was going to bring that up... consider yourself warned! Also, for those types who think WDW is unclean... best keep out of CP. :hurl: YUCK! I haven't gotten to go for probably 3 years now, since we usually only go if everybody can get there before the school year is out. (I don't do 2 hour waits for ANYTHING! particularly with the people Brad mentions in his post!) However, for the coaster lover, it's a great time. :) Have fun!!
