I know both I and the groom's mother are wearing black.
I love black.
I'm thinking long.
She's thinking tea length.
I don't really care for tea length.
And I refuse to look dowdy.
Some of the mother-of-the-bride dresses I've seen on the net are truly hysterical. Boxy pastels. . . :hurl:
Dot...I'm sure you'll look lovely no matter what you wear.

My mom wore a black dress. MIL wanted to wear white and didn't understand why I asked her not too - but that's a whole different three hour story...:lookaroun

I think a black dress would be great! What time of the day is the ceremony?
My mom wore a lilac dress that she made, so MIL insisted on purple - she looked like a giant eggplant!

Wait. . .

I'm going to be one! :dazzle:
But I'll be a nice one! :)

Hi Dot, sorry about the cavity.

Hi Steph!

I had pizza for lunch.
REAL pizza, no funky TexMex pizza. (No offense, Susan. :lookaroun)

From what I read, he seemed very full of himself.

It only gets worse towards the end of the book...

Here's what my mom wore: http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b6d706b3127cce8d68cbcb9dbb00000015138AZtGrVi2bNf

The author actually made up a few "Oz" words - i couldn't find some of them in the dictionary...

It's definitely an interesting book. Makes you think...
Eh. Didn't make me think much. Well, it did, actually. It made me think how glad I was to get through it.

Ready for where my mom got her dresses for my brother and sister's weddings?

One was at Sears, and the other at Macy's.

And they were really nice.

my mom got hers at Boscov's. It's like a Macy's. All the ones at the Bridal stores were so FRUMPY. They made anybody look 10 years older.

That sounds fantastic and I don't even have a clue as to what a banana pepper is. :lookaroun
But I love a thin crust with green peppers and onions. . . that's my favorite!

Yummmy!

My mom's dress was - literally - $25 from Lord & Taylor. And i thought she looked beautiful!

Banana peppers on on sub sandwiches a lot - they're kinda spicy. I guess it's an odd pizzza topping though

And we've got a ice cream store around here called Maggie Moo's...:D
LOVE Maggie Moo's! It's like Cold Stone or Marble Slab - right? We had one in Indianapolis where I went to school.

Hello.

Watched a ridiculously boring play of Julius Casesar today.
But I did nothing. All day.

Went to gym, sat there, they were getting ready for the play.
Went to the play, sat there, was bored to tears.
Went to Foods :)fork:), made the pizza, NO MEAT, but it smelled really nasty, and we ran out of time, so I took my pizza 'to go', gave it to my friend who took one bite, and almost threw up.
Went to lunch. Ate food. Out of school. Wasn't gunna deal with the bitchy lunch lady.
Went to History. For two periods. We watched a movie. Didn't watch even a minute of it. Talked the whole time.
Went to Spanish. Took a quiz.
Went home.

Hugs Freddy.

At least....some of us longer! :D

So true, I forgot that we all started out earlier than that in Huggles....

It was TexMex pizza, had to use taco sauce as the sauce. :hurl:
And beans were on it.
Beans from a can that looked like vomit.
I dunno what went wrong. :veryconfu

Yep...
There are a few (myself included) that started over in Huggles, and then moved here.

*raises hand* me too

Well at least you're friendly to newbies like me!

Of course, that is how we all grow is by having new people here! We're glad you joined.

I think it might have something to do with why Luke was CONCERNED as well.. Some poster in AK, I think.

Gotta get moving! What did you have in mind?

I swear, this lady is crazy.

Sigh... My MIL had this whole discussion about how it was a noon wedding, so tea legnth blah blah blah... I didn't really care as long as it wasn't white or red.

could you at least understand the plot?

(And here's my question...if you're writing a book, why do you have to make it hard? Why can't you make it so that other people who maybe don't have PhDs can understand what the heck you're talking about?!

*gets off soapbox*

)

I understood it, but didn't take much energy to think behind the plot to deeper meanings and such.

You can get banana peppers in varying degrees of spicyness... I like mine any which way. And on subs? YUM. :slurp:

Actually, I've never been in the Maggie Moos...:lookaroun
