They're huge! Makes me really excited for them now because I really wasn't sure if I was going to like them. Looks like they'll be pretty far done for me to see them when I'm there in January!

For some reason I had not pictured these bigging as big as they are, but it seems like such a good thing that they will be fairly substantial. I like how this is going to separate out the old and new areas, so the highly themed new does not look stand out so much against the fair theme.

The hight of the castle walls will vary, some not being that tall.

Some will be....pretty tall...

thanks for the picture Lee. I assume that this particular sketch probably matches the turret that we see rising in the picture the OP posted based on the size.

Do you think they will take down the wooden walls (or parts of them) once the castle walls are established? Or not until they are ready to unveil the whole project?

well, the whole project will be complete in different stages, we could still have construction walls till 2014 for mine train!
so no the entire thing will not open at once, unless you just mean LM and BatB
but all of new fantasyland will not be unveiled at one time

Wow they still are huge!!! I just hope it doesn't look like the great wall of china going through fantasyland. Plus I hope there is difference of theme more of a forest feeling once you go past these walls.

Very cool!! And thanks for posting the drawing, so we can get an idea as to what a finished product will look like in terms of scale. I can't wait to see how far along they are when I'm there next March! :D

They must be tall in that area to hide the Beasts castle from inside the castle walls. I was wondering how they would create separation between the 2 castles. This way you'll have to exit the castle walls before you can see Beasts castle in the distance. Should be very cool...

I was too. It would just be too different and just strange if you could see both castles while walking down Main Street.

I just hope that the walls don't feel TOO large. Separation is nice, but a barricade in the middle of Fantasyland might take away from the appeal of Fantasyland.

the separation is key, and you and i all know that imagineers will take note into making sure we cant see the second castle until we are supposed to..

how far will they be along in november? will i have a chance to see almost completed stuff?
