Room Service from GF

In one of the many promo/news pieces that have been done for the promotion the Disney representative being interviewed mentioned that guests staying in the castle could order from the Grand Floridian's room service menu. At the time I wondered why they chose the GF over the Poly or Contemporary.

My favorite part is that there are suites at the utilidor level. :ROFLOL: :ROFLOL: :ROFLOL:

Have you SEEN the utilidors?! Yes ma'am, to get to your suite door you need to go around these crates, watch the splinters, move this cart out of the way, and oh, watch out for that leak in the ceiling as you are walking by. Oh, and sorry about the smell.

This is the most entertaining thing I've heard all year! I love when people want to talk like big shots, but are just complete idiots....12 suites...really? I guess that mean that there are atleast 12 beds in the castle, 12 bathrooms, 12 dresser drawers, 12 TV's....common' WHERE WOULD ALL THIS FIT??? :brick:

Well at one time they would take the castle apart and someone would take it home with them. (it would disassemble down to suitcase size.) But that has not been possible since the installation of the nuclear missiles.:lookaroun

Oh yes thank you for that info :D

This story is totally unbleivable, if you have ever seen the castle you would realize this is not possible. Sorry, but your FRIEND has told you a very tall tale.

The conceirge service that is available to the guests staying in the suite... what if you want a late night snack? Will they run to Casey's for a hotdog and fries for you?? :slurp: haha Or is there a type of room service menu to order from and is it included??
i'm just preparing for when we go to Disney in August and win the suite!!!
Is Concierge available in all 12 suites or just the top floor???

Well, I was quite lucky today, and got to take a little tour of the Castle Suite! It was really great! I got some neat pictures for an upcoming EpcotServo Update. can't wait to share them with you all!
:D

Oh, and I can say without a doubt, that there is only one room in the castle!

Yes, this is definitlely false, there is absolutely no room for 12 suites. There isn't even enough for the one suite already built.

The fact that you even considered this rumor is a testament to the imagineers use of forced perspective. While it looks like there could be room for more than one suite up there, it's actually quite a small space. Aside from the location, once-in-a-lifetime appeal, and immaculate decor, the "suite" that they did have room to build is rather claustrophobic. (not that I wouldn't jump at the chance to stay there).

Well, today when pressed for more details, JP said that the cast event that he attended was on New Year's Eve......:brick:

If he had told me that before, my BS detector would have known for sure 100% that he was full of it. It would have also saved me quite a bit of self induced embarrassment because I posted this info on a couple of other boards too.

Sorry folks, yes indeed, JP had better be glad that he is not Pinocchio or else that nose of his would be rather long about now.

FYI- I didn't have the heart to tell him that I knew that he was totally full of it, because I find it kind of sad that he would feel the need to make up such a lie. Sad little man......

it is sad....he just wants to look important and "in the know". It entertains me that he covered up this lie with what is most likely a lie about a cast party at the castle. During my time w/ WDW, we were never invited to a castle party....:hammer:
