Right on with that. I had seen the video and could hardly wait to see it in person. I got goosebumps watching it and DW thought it was nice, but the in-laws could not have cared less. Watching the video STILL gets to me! 28 days till I get them in person!

See, I will be the same way. The only one that would complain would be my husband but I am sure he will be back at the resort getting ready for another meeting. It will be just me & the kids that late.:)

So the Kiss Goodnight is one hour after rides close or one hour after the Main Street shops close?

Generally it's either half an hour or one hour after the posted closing time of the park. (The ride lines are closed off at closing time)

I am confused, as always, but when I looked for the times for this week it said that there are three or four different times per night. The park closes at 9:00 and the first time listed was 11:00 and the last time at 1:00 am. Did I read it wrong?

Okay, so Magic Kingdom has the Kiss Goodnight at the Castle, Epcot uses the Inferno Barge, What Disney's Hollywood Studios do?

Now the Studios do an absolute cast favorite. The park audio cuts out and an announcement comes on at closing time that says something like: "Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Cast and Crew; this concludes our day at the Disney MGM Studios, we hope you had.......snip........Come back soon." Then the song from Hercules plays: "A Star Is Born". And cast members start singing and dancing...or at least those who can drop their positions at park close.

This all sounds great to you people, but I run a restaurant and here is what I think. This is Mickey's way of saying..."Get the hell out of here. We closed an hour ago, we need to clean up. Aren't you people tired yet. Go Home! Why are you still here?"
Sorry to say it, but If i were a CM that cleans up the Hub or streets, I would be cringing at this post that has all these people talking about how the park closes at 9, but we are going to stay till 10, to hear Mickey kick us out.

That is exactly how I explain it to guests. This is Mickey's very polite way of saying leave the park and go home please.

Here are the scheduled times for the period 09/09 - 09/15

Fri, Sun : midnight

Mon, Wed : 11pm, midnight, 12:30am, 1am

Tues, Thu, Sat : 9:30 pm, 10pm, 10:30pm, 11pm

And these times, while what is listed in the Tell a Cast, are not accurate. For example, last Sunday, the park closed at 10 and from 10-1 we had extra magic hours. Well, even though the schedule said the Kiss Goodnight was at 1 AM, it happened every half hour from 10-1.

It happens every night and it happens every half hour from 1/2 hour after general park closing until ... I don't know.
