Help WDWMagic you are my only hope!

So today in the mail we finally received our Castaway Club numbers… YAY! After reading one of the letters I noticed that it says we can get 10% off prevailing rates if we book by 7/31. My question to you guys is… can I book a placement cruise with that 10# off? We have no idea when or on what cruise we want to go on yet so basically we would just book one and transfer it to whenever we decide. Can I do this?

Oh! I don't know! Maybe call and see what they say. Don't call it a placeholder, though. Maybe say something to the effect of "We were thinking of this ___ date but it's still not for sure. Could we change it if we need to and keep the discount?"

How long did it take to come since you've returned from your cruise? I've had to look mine up online, was wondering if they'd ever come...

We left for our cruise March 28… didn’t get it till today so like uhmm… about 3 months.
@sweetpee_1993 I was thinking of doing that. I could also just wait for Tammy to return… I mean how many more days can her trip be… right? Why Tammy… WHY? :D:eek::confused:

So I just received our Castaway Club packet and numbers as well, though nothing about a 10% off? Is there something I'm missing? We did book a cruise onboard and received 10% off, but nothing in this mailing about a discount. If the onboard booking is the reason, did I waste precious vacation time in line booking our next cruise onboard when i could have just waited for our CC packet to arrive?

I got one yesterday, too. Same situation. I don't think it's a waste of time to do my onboard booking. I don't get the little Castaway Club thing after every cruise so I look at it like ensuring I have the discount available to me. :D

Oh, I wonder whether they will send something to me here in Germany! The Wild Africa Trek photos only took 5 weeks to get over here (I think I could swim the distance faster!!!), so maybe I will get it just in time for my next cruise! :D

@Disneyfalcon, I noticed on the card we got Tracey is listed as still silver status. He wanted me to look into this because, his words: "This does nothing positive for my cruise career." LOL! It showed me as gold which I pointed out was the most important thing but he wasn't so impressed. LOL!
