But then... that doesn't make sense. It was people in the tristate area who visited world wide hotspots and brought the virus back that were the problem. So, not quarantining people who visited hotspots isn't good policy.

I think we’ll follow suit...our numbers have actually been declining (one of a pitiful 3 states)...so the antitruthers are restless...

Funny, I thought most people on these boards were fully on the side of Disney spending as much money as they can on upgrades to the parks. Spend, Disney! Spend on the parks!!

Most of the money Disney has made on the parks in the Iger era has gone into stockholders’ pockets via stock buybacks.

Remember, they’ve spent over $50 dollars on them.

With Star Wars not driving up attendance much, and the economic impact of COVID, I suspect Disney will be very reluctant to make major investments in the parks for a while.

The only big things we'll see are projects already started, or paid by someone else (HKDL Avengers, Fantasy Springs etc)

With the CP program not happening, WDW had multiple apartment units ( Vista Way, Commons ) sitting vacant. It could be rented out to locals to help Disney get cash.

Disney doesn't want to be a landlord for just random joes. They do it for the CP and international programs because it allows them to pay less to those CMs because they're getting a place to stay.

Let's just leave it as he was a capitalist, and a damn good one. There's a lot about Disney he's rolling in his grave over right now, but I doubt it's ticket/hotel prices.

Disney was a Republican during a time when the Democrat party was pushing Jim Crow and the KKK. There's not much to talk about there.

There’s no money in that...and I don’t believe Disney even “owns” them...they are third party managed - for sure.

Cps/ips cost Disney a big fat zero...not one cent. But renting out their austin Powers pads isn’t the way to sustain profits. Disney would be run of the mill apartment lords in a depressed economy Orlando.
