MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

They're not killing RnR just retheming it. Is anyone really in that ride for Aerosmith specifically? If so...you don't need a roller coaster to listen to Aerosmith.
Agreed,
Tiana is still a fun log flume no matter the theme, although, if the retheme causes more down time, that's bad.
RnR will still be a fun coaster even after the retheme, again, if the retheme causes more down time, that's bad,

Gas guzzling vehicles wreak havoc on the environment. The people that drive them are evil /s

Sentient cars are villains. Did we learn nothing from "Christine"?

Obviously the reason there are no humans in the Cars universe is that the sentient cars slaughtered them all.

But they only had human society to use as a basis after gaining sentience, which is why everything reflects human society, architecture, etc.

I can name something every single other castle park's Frontierland has better on MK's.

Dis Gonna Be Good Jason Momoa GIF

Outside of Paris, with the best version of BTM and the addition of PM as a Frontierland attraction, I'd love to hear this list.

I thought it was a because an evil sorcerer turned everyone into cars to satisfy his mechanophilia.

I don’t think Disney replacing the river is ego, though persisting despite many signs that they shouldn’t (many failed proposals to florida gov and general unpopularity of the change) I can see how that would be ego.
People focus on Iger (and even Chapek!) too much. He apparently both doesn’t care about the parks but also cares about his legacy inside of them. I don’t think it’s ever been that deep (and I lean that he doesn’t care that much)

Personally if they follow through and make Frontierland's new theme be about American nature, and have cars (next to Tiana and Thunder) have lots of trees, water features, geizers and more, then I'm happy. I've always felt MK has the worst Frontierland and the Island and River are no where as good as DL so hopefully this makes are version at least unique if not great.

Plus im excited about villains and will take a bad cars ride for a whole villains land

Some might argue with your standpoint saying oh it's not the original, Disneyland is, but pay attention people original OG things of WDW aren't cared about or is it the thumb that it doesn't have to matter at Walt Disney World. Look at Muppets 3D/Courtyard and The Great Movie Ride without updating or editing changing scenes!
Yeah, I could care less about cloned attractions.
The whole idea of WDW was essentially to bring DL to the East Coast, with the added "blessing of space."

First sentence is a definitive statement with no real proof. I'm not saying it won't happen, but the artwork makes it seems like they're trying to not have that happen. Their success in doing so is another story entirely. As for Piston Peak, it also depends on which artwork they follow and how naturalistic they go. Yes, the cartoonier artwork makes it look pretty ill-fitting, but the overpainted version could easily be a formation at McAfee's or somewhere similar.
For sure.
As is abundantly obvious from my posts, I don't want this attraction where it is.
But I don't buy the line the we are going to see and hear cartoon faced cars whizzing by Frontierland and Haunted Mansion.
I'm betting the view of the cars will be almost completely hidden by rockwork, berms, trees etc.
I'm also betting that the sound of the vehicles will be onboard sound via speakers for the riders of the vehicles to hear - and not people outside of them. (Not much anyway.)

I guess that depends on what we think compromise is. Because like, you could argue the Muppets RnR is a compromise.

Country Bears redo is a compromise too.

But, and I'm not saying this is you at all, some ppl consider compromise as Disney just not doing something.

We have to figure out what is a feasible compromise here Given all the factors. Just how much harder and more expensive is it to keep some river? If that can be determined, compromise can be suggested in good faith.
Here's my compromise: Put this behind Big Thunder and please all of your guests.
Matter of fact put the real Carsland with Radiator Springs back there rather than this thing that's Cars but not really Cars.

Hmm, maybe Iger is green lighting this as he heads out the door as a warning to us all about the perils of AI?

Kind of like with the SM mountain changeover, I love the revisionist back flips being done now to rationalize these changes, suddenly saying a quality, well built part of MK fabric and history just wasn’t that good.

Change “SM wasn’t that great of an attraction and needed repairs anyway”

To-

“Frontierland in WDW wasn’t that great the others are better. And nobody visited TSI it was outdated and not popular. So who cares”.

I believe it's also been suggested by people in the know that the rockwork will include a lot of flowing water features, so that sound will probably also be used in an attempt to mask anything that may leak out. Again, success of the endeavor remains to be seen.

Again: yes cars could have gone anywhere. DIS wasn’t thinking “we want a Cars ride- where do we put it?” They wanted to get rid of the rivers and decided on this. That’s it…

And this makes me sad but I hope this will help the congestion bottle neck that always occurs at the merge of Liberty square/Liberty tree especially during the parade.
