What would they even rename Frontierland if they wanted to?
Plantland.
Has it got plants at any point in any capacity? Yay, it fits!

Taking this question seriously and ignoring the fact that Frontierland does make sense name wise with Cars, a backtrack to naming it Discoveryland (like Paris?) could pay homage to Baxter’s extension of Frontierland concept while also fitting the vibe of most of the attractions. Adventureland, Discoveryland, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland… it fits like a puzzle piece! What would they even rename Frontierland if they wanted to?
FTFYDisney's™ Indigenous Peoples land featuring Tiana and Cars!
I think you might be conflating Discoveryland (Tomorrowland's name in Paris) with Discovery Bay, which was (IIRC) a planned land to expand north of Disneyland's Frontierland.naming it Discoveryland (like Paris?)
Anyone know why both frontierland entrance signs are now gone?
You know what else is a trackless outdoor ride?Boy, a partially outdoor trackless ride is going to be broken down, just all the time.
Perfect!FTFY
@Sirwalterraleigh - you can shutdown your conspiracy theory on why TBA is still on VQ that's it not popular enough. It's true in our surveys. Tiana's Bayou Adventure is in the top tier of attraction ratings in the Magic Kingdom.
Tiana's weighted rating is virtually identical to Splash's, and on the same level as 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain, and TRON Lightcycle / Run.

This type of whining about meaningless minutiae is why people hate bloggers.
Personally, I have a very dim view of myself for participating on these fora.Non-Disney fans would probably look at these forums and think everything we discuss is meaningless.

You’re shooting at me from the bushes here…total sneak.@Sirwalterraleigh - you can shutdown your conspiracy theory on why TBA is still on VQ that's it not popular enough.
I'm chalking up it's on VQ because of reliability.
Not completely apples to apples, Splash has 8,320 plus responses while TBA has 386. Let's see how things shake out with more time.@Sirwalterraleigh - you can shutdown your conspiracy theory on why TBA is still on VQ that's it not popular enough.

But I appreciate the attempt.
Truth be told…I don’t care one way or another why it’s on virtual queue…
The reality is Princess and the frog is NOT a popular IP. You can read the tale of the tape on that starting from when it was a BO disappointment.
And splash being replaced…wrankled a lot of feathers of the park pounders for a couple of reasons
1. Generally speaking…almost no one had a problem with a rabbit and a bear and a fox doing slapstick
2. It’s a “replacement”…which finally most on the street are identifying as the shell game pulled by management.
That all said…it’s wdw. It’s underequipped - by design - for going on 25 years. They didn’t build for crowds. Fine. But don’t act like that’s not the issue.
You’re there…they charge you a fortune (especially if you didn’t buy into dvc long ago)…and you gotta have something to do.
Of course people will be in line…it’s a math issue. Just like people go inline for the awful Star Wars rides….or will wait 90 minutes for ratatouille…you’re there.
And since you’re quoting Len…let’s explore that:
Did you see the data on how awful the holiday season was? He was tracking crowds based on lines…but you can also add pathetic hotel occupancy to that list.
What’s going on? Maybe the “happiest place” isn’t so happy across the board now?
Bad management.
The future of leisure may end up in wildwood, nj.
Just observations and realities…no conspiracies (except the wildwood one…I’ll own that)

Well the last two things are true. It’s not popular or well received. It really wasn’t the point.
He essentially said TBA were was still on virtual queue because it wasn’t popular/well received.
it’s New Jersey…so if we don’t self-deprecate…we’re not doing it right.Don’t even think about dragging the Jersey Shore into this.
My point is a bucket with a goldfish swimming in it would probably get a line and “popularity” to watch now…by design to sell upsells and line skips. It really wasn’t the point.

Just poking fun.it’s New Jersey…so if we don’t self-deprecate…we’re not doing it right.

That’s a doozy of a conspiracy…your head might explode if you try to tackle that one
