I think, generally speaking, initial concept art is always to be taken with a large grain of salt, but gets you the general idea of what they are going for.

Normally, the second iteration seems to be far closer to what actually happens.
Is it safe to say the concept art released post D23 is second iteration? When originally announced, it really looked like the ride was going to take up a massive chunk of land. When the artwork was released post D23, all I could think of was just how cramped and forced it looked.

I don’t think there’s enough land for anything worthwhile for that kinda ride

But we’ll see

Eh... I'm inclined to say it is still first iteration and will likely look a bit different. Especially with how odd/blurry that concept art is.

Same with Monsters FWIW, but I actually kinda think that will look better than it's initial concept art. Cars I'm not so sure.

I think people need to take a step back and get a firm grasp of what the word concept means before they pull out the pitchforks.
They should never release this…it’s to generate churn on SM before it’s time.

They can do this when they have an approved design and construction ramps up…

What’s the difference? Oh…they can only pump it for 3 years instead of 6?

Whilst the concept art isn't never exactly what comes out, it still shows all the considered elements. The discussion on concept art's reliability began with the discussion of the new path to the side of Haunted Mansion behind Cars to Big Thunder Mountain. I still think that path shown in the concept art will be built. Why include it and the entrance to Cars from it if they aren't actually considering building it?
