To be specific, they need to keep the Frontierland/Liberty Square waterfront in tact, which includes the front half of TSI. However, the backhalf I don't mind removing for theme park expansion.
To be candid, the actual ride experience on the Liberty Belle isn't as great as DL's with very little things to look at. I hope they keep the riverboat docked permanently, but I see no real need to keep the attraction experience itself.

As been mentioned several times in this thread, the concept is for a Piston Peak Land in Disneyland Paris. They figured it was 'close enough' to use for MK without re-doing it to match MK's Frontierland.
So, whatever you see on the periphery has zero bearing on what might occur in MK.

I'm all about taking things with a grain of salt, believe me, especially from folks who "show up" (and especially from people who show up and brag about their sources, which has happened on this site), but Drew is in the parks on a very regular basis and may have heard something from Cast Members in the know and the Bellhop has a record of hearing info, so that's why I tagged them on the post.
I'm paying the mouse a lot of money in a few months (see the countdown in my signature), so I want to know what will be there when I'm there.

I know there are parts from Disneyland Paris on the left side, but isn't the placement of BTMR and Splash and even the Riverboat dock all from MK?

It doesn’t matter if a person sleeps on a bench outside test track and showers in the fountain outside muppet vision…
That’s not how it works…and never has.
This is fairly certain: all those plans are subject to change or cancellation up to the minute.
And why? Because it’s the rep the upper management has now earned due to their philosophy and tactics. Have a comic con filled with ether and make proclamations…and then we’ll see if it happens?
But to your question - my guess (just that) is there is almost ZERO chance that it’s closed or anywhere close to demolished by July. They’re having review/water management issues. And thankfully…that’s the serious part of swamp construction.

Except they’re not anywhere near “close enough”. If it was for Disneyland Paris it would mean removing Phantom Manor and replacing Big Thunder Mountain, including replacing the station with a building that looks like the riverboat dock at Magic Kingdom.

It definitely does…. I’m wondering if they started with Paris since it has an attraction in the center instead of Tom Sawyer island?
Of course concept wise that ignores the fact they still have a riverfront, riverboat, and the park was designed with Tom Sawyer like exploration areas in Adventureland…..

Except the art shows Big Thunder Mountain Railroad which the Cars attraction would be replacing if it was Paris. And why would Paris move the Riverboat Landing to replace the Big Thunder Mountain load station?

I know that I just started posting on these forums again at the very end of 2023, but I'm not just a “random dude with a Twitter account.” I teased many things last year that nobody has picked up on to this day, mainly the Coco ride for DCA 3 days before it was announced. I purposely have been less active on these forums not talking about rumors because of how many people I know in this industry, and I don't want to leak things that they are working on going forward.
I am in the parks very often, but I will agree with @Sirwalterraleigh that Cast Members usually wouldn't have insight into when things are opening/closing. Maintenance CMs at Big Thunder knew it was closing for refurbishment last summer well before the official announcement was made by Disney, but in regards to Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America, I don't think that anyone will know until the SFWMD approves the plan.

I’m an old fart…so unfortunately I’ve seen hundreds of “insiders” come and go on forums such as this for this entire century plus…
The problem are not the fans that live it…such as yourself…it’s that those “leaking” are trying to come off as self important. What they say as lower level WDI or park managers means about nothing. It’s an elaborate game at the top…intentional misdirection to keep the serfs inline.
There’s no access to how the power of the purse works…which is the only thing…much more now since Bob thinks he’s a cross between Steve Jobs, JP Morgan, and Abe Lincoln…
