She succumbed to the whooping cough in 1904, I'm afraid. She caught it after sharing a sarsaparilla. :(

They buried her under the cistern.

Terribly sad indeed.

Though I feel the need to remind you we're calling it "root beer" now. :p

I actually noticed the girl off to the side last time as well.

On one of the soaps, a boy went up to the attic and never came back. Maybe she fell into the wash bucket and they just left her there. :veryconfu

Anyone have a pic.? Truthfully, I never noticed her.
It's not the greatest because it's hard to take a photo, no flash through the scrims (especially with my old dig cam which is the one I used for this photo) but you can at least see what we're talking about here.

I always just assumed it was the daughter. Why not? She's brunette in some scenes and blond in others. The "family" never seemed exactly cohesive to me anyway.

She was like the youngest daughter on "Family Matters." She suddenly disappears, and as an audience member, we're just supposed to accept it and not question it.

i remember a neighbor that questioned the disappearance of the little girl from Family Matters. Sadly, he disappeared in 3 hours, never to be heard from again. :lookaroun

I just found an attraction script for the current version of COP on carouselofprogress.tripod.com and here is an excerpt concerning the mystery girl:

Father looks over to his right, (our left,) where the first of the rotating dioramas mentioned above appears. A woman dressed in an apron, is ironing a shirt, while her young daughter works beside her. In the background is a large pantry with bags of food.

What do you think about this? The discussion lives on!

Now that I have solved the CoP Mystery Girl question I need help on one of my own ;)

In the refurbished Small World can someone tell me
¿ Dónde está Don Quixote? :veryconfu

Yeah, I'd like to know that too!!

And as for CoP.. well for some reason I always thought it was the son. I guess I didn't pay attention too well!!

Thank you!
I always just assumed she was the daughter (but never really took the time to think about it, as I am usually so busy enjoying myself), as she is not really mentioned in the show.
