In addition to Shutters?
IMHO, Shutters is not comparable to the table service restaurant and bar at Coronado Springs, or at any other moderate for that matter. If you ask to go to the bar at Shutters, the seating hostess directs you to a little pass through window to the kitchen where you can order a drink. There is no seating at all, no television and nothing that would suggest it is really a bar and not a pass through window for the wait staff to grab food trays from the kitchen.

If Shutters' bar isn't the worst on property, I don't want to know whose is. Hopefully, the renovations will address this deficiency.

Hmm, interesting. I wonder what's going in there, if it's anything. Like anything else, we'll have to wait and see. Disney being secretive...most of the time.

I could be wrong, but from the looks of it, they are building a trentch (lazy river?) to the Trinidad side of the pool. They had just started some additional work to the OPR side of the pool on our last day. I think most, if not all, of this construction is tied to the pool refurb.

Just my 2 cents

We had a super time by the way. :sohappy:

CBR is by far our favorite moderate resort and I'm greatly looking forward to a revamped pool area. CBR seems to get a really bad rap these days (outdated dirty rooms, poor resort layout, staff issues, etc) and I'm glad to see Disney improving resorts rather then just building/changing them over to DVC.

I'd like to see Disney continue the theme that orginally exists in the pool area. It had just enough pirate "flare" without it being over the top.

Small temporary pool slides will be added to two of the resort village pools (I believe Mart. and Jamiaca) during the construction time frame.

I am glad I didn't try harder to get a drink there. I asked where I could get a drink and they said the pool bar. I asked about Shutters' bar and they said it wouldn't be open until the evening.

With the number of people camped out at the pool bar all day and especially night, they would do well to add one.
