This and Coronado aren't the end of the resorts developments. Expect more. One, maybe two more short term and one long term.

Is the land between the TTC and the Contemporary possibly on the list for a new deluxe monorail resort? I've always thought that patch of land looked attractive for resort development but I wasn't sure if the land was suitable or if they felt the area could sustain another resort in general (re: people, busses, boats, traffic, etc.).

No. It's been tried before.

Try a thread search for the Venitian Resort and the Mediterranean Resort.

Thanks @marni1971! I knew about the other two you mentioned, but wasn't sure why they were abandoned. I also wasn't sure if new tech made that space buildable versus when they last tried to build on that spot of land.

It's a shame it can't/won't be used. It seems like a perfect parcel for such a thing.

Oh, it's the prime piece of undeveloped land. And a real bone of contention internally.

It could be built on, but as of yet the cost isn't seen as worth it.

I can't imagine it not being a sore spot. Prime real estate for a monorail resort that would allow them to add a resort and not have the expense of expanding the monorail. I wonder what the stabilization/foundation costs alone would run.

Hey my man, I'm going to CB in December this year, I guess we will have to skip or meet up this year which sucks. Anyway, I see they will be re-designing the marketplace and such, do you think that construction will have a huge impact on my trip? Thanks, hope all is well my friend!

It's not the only proposed DVC and possibly.
2nd Contemporary DVC? Something in the DHS area? The only thing directly close to DHS is Pop/AoA... I would think they would maybe want something a little more upscale for all the guests SWL will bring. And if i'm not mistaken there's a plot available that would be suitable not too far from the park.

Total guessing though.

Probably said by many people before, but I presume they're looking to expand guest hotel capacity have decided to expand existing moderate resorts -- two so far, anyway -- rather than making all new resorts. Giving any resorts some attention is welcome to me, but I'm also a person hoping this doesn't push CBR and CSR closer to the Deluxe Resort pricing category.

I'm supposed to be staying at CBR this June. Wonder if we should switch up now. Either way, the changes look interesting.

The main food court and merch area will be fully closed by then for refurb. Food trucks and grab'n'go will be on site as well as temporary merchandise stands. There will be a lot of construction, but with all of the things they are going to do for the guests, it may be even more convenient to stay.

Thanks for the information. If they do not have the quick service breakfast/lunch area, I'm not sure my husband will want to deal with it. Do you mind me asking where you saw that it would be closed by then? I noticed Shutters isn't taking reservations starting May so I do believe you.

I've had res set up for June 6th so hopefully it's just booked and not actually closing. Once again no e-mails.
