Captain EO at EPCOT & DL????

Last night I was watching Full House on Nick @ Nite (Nickelodeon) and the episode was about the Tanner family trip to DL. Well to make a long story short they couldnt go because of fog issues and the plane. When they got back Joey said that he was upset because they wouldnt be able to see Captain EO. I know that they had Captain EO in EPCOT however did they ever have it at DL???? I asked a few friends who didnt know so I figured I would start a post :lol: :)

ah, yes. Captain EO use to be one of my favorites when I use to go to Disneyland. Back when Micheal Jackson wasn't a freak. Use to love when they crashed and they would blow fog all over the crowd. Special FX for 3D shows have come a long since then haven't they?

On a second note, I remember reading that Captain EO is the most visited disney attraction of all time. That is if you add the attendence at all four Disney destinations. Does it still play in DLP, last I heard it was.

hmmmm..besides anything new in the last 4 years...Captain Eo is the only attraction at wdw or past wdw I have not done...it's kind of strange..but it is the one thing I never had the urge to do...and now that it's gone...hmmmm...well I still don't have the urge for them to bring it back

It's no longer in Paris. They replaced it years ago with Honey I Shrunk the Audience.

Yes Captain EO was at Disneyland. That is the only place I saw it and it was popular. I would frankly rather have Captain EO back as I am really sick of HISTA. I saw HISTA about twice and that is all I need. I have no interest ever seeing it again. They could bring back Captain EO and not mention it is Michael as no one would recognize him.

I find it strange how Captain Eo lasted that long at DL.. was that the last park to show it or was DLP???

(I wish the HISTA would be replaced with a new movie at Epcot then slowly work it's way around, maby a unique one at DL??)

Back in the 90's, Mtv aired a non 3D version of Captain EO. I remember taping it and I think I still have the tape somewhere.

I agree. HISTA needs to go and be replaced with something new but similar. I could go for Magic Journeys, too. I listen to that song all the time on the Official Album of WDW and it makes me miss it. How about a modern version of Magic Journeys?

Well I couldn't find a musician that would fit well so I just chose the smartest and most intelligent muscian out there. It sounds weird but Marlyn Mansion is a very smart man.

Off topic, While I don't like the music and vibe that Marlyn Mansion creates as the Marlyn Mansion band. I will admit that he is a very talented producer. The Resident Evil movie score is probably the best score I have ever heard. Very creative stuff. I would like to see him to more movie scoring. Also, I have the whole Captain EO video clip in if anyone is interested in seeing it, since you can not longer visit it.

A 3D movie of Nemo or Monsters Inc would be great! I would really like to see Nemo and Dory in their environment with a 3D effect.

By the way, it is Marilyn Manson. :animwink:
