Captain America 4

I agree. I don't owe any movie studio anything. I have limited time and funds for entertainment. A family of 5 isn't cheap to go see a movie. So it's their job to hook me. A bad to mediocre trailer can very much determine if we go see something. The Cap 4 trailers didn't do a whole lot to make me want to see it, so I'll most likely wait till streaming. I know some here find that anti Disney for some reason. But as I said, I'm not obligated to give the benefit of the doubt to Disney just because I'm a fan and it's Disney. They need to earn it.
I don't think anyone said you have to go and watch a film that you don't want to see. I think what has been said time and again is that too many times people just out of spite claim a film looks bad or will do poorly just based on the trailers or other factors. And while YOU personally may have never done that, there is quite of few posters that have, especially in the Mermaid thread. And all that was being said was, hey at least wait and see what happens when its released or at least see it yourself before its judged.

Captain Falcon
Really?
I used to like Falcon, it's too bad man. They did the same thing with Scarlet Witch. They made them unlikeable and annoying. Falcon's victim speech in his show and being pulled over by the cops was ridiculous. I miss the buddy buddy stuff with Winter Soldier. I don't need another he's being held down storyline. Antman had to work at Baskin Robbins and you don't hear him complaining the way Falcon is.
Too real for you?

Deadpool was a nice send off to the fox x-men but that sense of humor just doesn’t appeal to me the marvels was better than no way home and I will die on that hill and I’m a big spider-man fan wakanda and guardians I didn’t enjoy that much when I saw them in the theaters but I might enjoy them more if I rewatched them I was going through some personal stuff for a while so that might have affected my opinion on certain movies from 2021 to 2022 quantummania was fine kang was the highlight for sure

So you thought..
the Marvels was better then Spider Man No Way Home and will die believing that.

Deadpool was just ok but that humor doesn’t appeal to you.

Wakanda and guardians you didn’t like in theater and haven’t rewatched.

Kang was highlight of quantummania.

I’m very interested to see your thoughts on new Captain America.

I personally don't find it hard to spot the posts where someone is just ranking on something because, Disney! There's nothing really wrong with speculating a film will do poorly based on the trailer. Again, there are obvious tells when someone is being disingenuous. So it's not hard to weed them out.

I think I am pretty fair with my opinions either when I think something looks bad, good, or if I think it could be an issue. But too often anyone who criticizes a trailer gets lumped into disingenuous bucket. It's happened to me many times.

Maybe it’s not fair to lump someone in that way with others, but it happens on the flip side too. Like being lumped in as a Disney Apologist or Pixie Duster just because you happen to like what content Disney is putting out. So no one is blameless here, we all tend to lump one another into groups and assign labels even if it’s not fair.

Back on topic of Cap, I saw it tonight and thought it was a solid movie. It certainly isn’t the best MCU movie ever made, but it does stand on it owns for being a good entry into the franchise. Both Mackie and Ford did a good job in their roles.

So if you are a fan of Mackie’s as you claim I wouldn’t miss it.

I think my biggest issue with this is the fact that Disney+ has diluted the MCU content. IMHO, Falcon and the Winter Soldier should have been Captain America 4.
