We have been to Boma a few times and really enjoy it, we'll go back there for sure. Cape May Cafe we have tried once and were not impressed. It was before the refurb, but IMO the buffet area was too small for the size of the restaurant and number of guests, the lines for food were terrible. I'm not sure if the refurb corrected this problem, but I wasn't crazy about the food either. I'm not a huge fan of crab legs, but that's ok because they kept running out. The variety of food was pretty poor and they kept running out of most things and the stuff that they did have plenty of didn't taste that great. We might try again some day, but I doubt it!

We've been to Boma a few times for dinner and a few times for breakfast and have always loved it. The variety is decent and our picky eaters always find something to eat.

We've only been to Cape May for breakfast and have found it just ok. The last time we were there, the buffet was out of a lot of food and we had to wait 5 - 10 min for a few key items (like eggs) which was kind of sad.

I agree that it's a seafood decision. Looking for a clambake? Hit Cape May. Want some variety (meat and fish) then head to Boma.

I guess you could also throw in atmosphere as a decision point. Cape May gives you the opportunity to walk around The Boardwalk and Boma gives you the opportunity to check out some cool animals on the savannah.

I don't eat seafood, but the other stuff at Cape May is always what I'd call "fine." it's like Subway to me. I wouldn't knock myself out to eat there, but I never dislike what I have. I've gone with several other people who do like seafood and they didn't care for it.

I don't like Boma because I don't care for that kind of food. Everyone I go there with likes it. They all love that expensive breakfast juice. I had one little sip of mine one morning and wanted to barf...must have pineapple, grapefruit or other icky juice I don't care for. My friend drank my glass, lol. She REALLY liked it. Everyone who isn't me seems to like Boma.
