Candlelight Processional

We are planning to go to Orlando on November-December 2005, we want to go to the Candlelight Processional but I would like to know if it costs something or if it is included with the park admission?

The Candlelight Processional is included with your admission to EPCOT. That having been said I would strongly recommend the Candlelight Processional Dinner package. it includes dinner at one of the World Showcase restaurants, with priority seating for the show. Without the package ( which does cost extra as it includes dinner!) you may not make it in to get a seat depending on what day you are going for. Belle

They doubled the number of seats they're booking with the dinner package for each showing - previously it was in the 500 range, this year it's roughly 900. So, last year it was hard to get in standby, this year it will be next to impossible. the rennovation of the American Gardens added seating, but not that much.

Good to know Merf!!!! Last year when I went to the CP with Jim Caviezel as the speaker we got online fairly early and were over by Italy!!!! That is pretty far back and we BARELY made it in!!!! We ended up getting seated on one of the walls at the sides of the theatre. I dont know if they allow standing except at the back of the theatre and certainly on the walkway of World Showcase Pavilion but it is DRAMATICALLY different then actually seeing it from the inside of the theatre. If you are not considering the dinner packages, I would say get there at least 1 1/2 hours early and be prepared to stand online for that amount of time. Also I would go for the earliest show on the day you are there as it seems the later ones fill up more. Just as an FYI, the dinner packages arent that expensive and if you are on the MYW Dining Plan you can use of of your sit down dinner credits for this!! Belle

We did the dinner package last year, and after I saw the line for those without the package, I was glad to have done it. Belle is right the packages aren't that expensive. It's just paying for your dinner in advance. We booked at LeCellier last year, we all had steak, and I think the total including tip was slightly more than what I paid for the tickets. We're going again this year and I booked the package again and I'm glad I did after reading mousermerf's post on the number of packages they are selling this year.

Belle, was Jim Caviezel great? We're seeing him this year!!!

We did the dinner package last year with Lavar Burton's narration just after Christmas.

One thing to remember, what you have with the dinner package is a reserved seating area. Those who get the best seats within that area are those who get there first!

We did standby last year w/ Gary Sinease (Spl? its late) as the speaker. We got in lin about an hour prior to start time and had no problems getting a great seat. Excellent location for video/photo ops. with our group of 12 we didnt know which evening we would all be in Epcot so we just tried our luck on the first available night and we got in. However, if possible I'd do the dinner package and still get to that line early as well!
