If this is indeed a space that was previously unused being turned into a bar/lounge then I am very excited. Hidden gems are always fun to stumble upon and find

More work has started. The back wall has been ripped open. You can also see work is being done on the second floor(former break room)by the misplaced window dressings.

yikes and they just completed the paint scheme and all on that building recently. thanks for the update
I have framed on my walls two nice art prints by native Canadian artists that I bought in the long-lost shop in the Canada pavilion. I would love to see that shop return. It had art prints, and soaps &lotions, and so many lovely things...what a shame its gone.

Very curious to see what it is they’re going to put in there. No one seems to have any info on it. I didn’t expect to see walls ripped out so whatever it is they’re spending some money on it. The inside of the shop was fairly intact all this time, would have just needed new paint/carpet. It's not a ride or attraction. Gut tells me exhibit or a bar. It's more than just a store though.
If it's a DVC lounge... do we ring the Imagination war bells? It'd be odd to put that and the Imagination one so close together unless Imagination was gonna close for awhile. This close to D23 also...
Gimme a moment to snoop around, this could be interesting.
I got 12 sources I've rung the bell of, let's see what happens. I'm gonna be categorizing into "Blood on the Saddle" and "No Blood" sources. Will update as I get answers.
Source 1 (No Blood) says "a lounge"

Im thinking/hoping it’s not a DVC lounge. The space inside isn’t huge, I’m trying to think of something that’s probably similar in size. Probably similar to the tequila cava venue. Lounge/bar makes most sense. For reference, here’s the interior from pre closure. The inside last I saw still looked pretty much the same as the photo.

Yup this is what I was told, now a few years ago. The plan has been to turn it into a “lounge” which means a bar at Disney. Sounds like it’s finally happening. It does make a lot of sense. It’s in an unused area that is somewhat secluded and has never worked well as a retail location. At the time it was being described to me as almost an extension of Le Cellier in ambiance with a lot of dark wood. A very high end feel. But much of that could have changed since I was told this. Very curious to see if this is what’s finally being built and the final outcome.

If it is being turned into a lounge it would make sense to create seating back there facing the waterfall.

Behind the Canada pavilion blocking the view of Soarin and fixing sight lines. It was to be Brother Bear themed.
If I had a nickel for every log flume featuring a “brother bear”…..

are we talking a lounge/bar for the public, or dvc lounge only....they may as well just start making the parks exclusive to dvc and disneyplus, its what they want to do in the long run anyway.
