i thought the new film was already showing at epcot.

It is, there wasn't an offical "hoopla" yet.

Gotta wine and dine the officials - Alberta for example gave $250,000 of the budget.

2.5 Mill for Martin Short, the canadian idol singer, a bunch of recycled footage, and a ton of single shot footage.

They hardly even used the circlevision camera for the new shoot.
