After much consideration (about 10 seconds) I'm gonna go for a character breakfast at Chef Mickeys.

Does anyone know earliest time you can book in?

I am going to be eating at the Chef Mickeys for my birthday week so I have the same question. I will be doing 3 Character meals for my birthday week. Anyways I will try to find out and when and if I do I will try and let you know.

My wife and I aren't the stereotyicpal "Disney nuts" one would expect to find around here. We didn't wear the bride and groom Mickey ears during our honeymoon becuase we thought they looked silly (although I have grown to second guess that decision since I started hanging out here).

Anyway, we still had a great time at Chef Mickeys. It was one of the highlights of the trip. The food was nothing exceptional - typical breakfast buffet fare. But we really had fun with the character visits.

A couple of other notes, be careful of the picture packages. They will take your picture in front of a big cardboard plate. Then they will drop off an expensive package at your table. It's kind of a high pressure sales tactic and we fell for it. If you want the pictures, fine. But don't feel pressured. You don't even have to pose if you don't want to.

Also, frequently there were long lines in the parks to meet the characters. And every so often, the lines would be cut off so the characters could go do parades and things. So we felt guilty taking up a spot in line that would mean a child wouldn't get to meet a character. As a result, we generally didn't wait in lines in the parks. In the character meals, you have no such worries because the characters hit all the tables. It was a guilt-free way to meet the characters.

Enjoy!

ha ha for me I am always guilt free about meeting those characters. I feel I have just as much right to meet them as any little child does, and with Suzy and Perla maybe even more, I mean I bet I love Suzy and Perla more so than lots of the Children since I get pictures taken with them 4 and 5 times in one day lol. Now as for Flower when I see him at Disney if only one person has a right to get a picture taken with him then it for sure will be me :)

No such thing as "too old" at WDW!

Right because if you could be too old don't you think Suzy and Perla would be too old for Disney. That Cinderella story took place like 100's of years ago. Those cute little mice are getting kinda old for Disney don't you think ? lol No they are not too old so for sure we are not too old :)
