Can you be too old for WDW?

Absolutely NEVER too old!!! (gosh, I hope not)
When at Disney I;

1. Cry when I see the Castle
2. Cry when I see Pluto
3. Cry during Wishes (especially when When you Wish Upon a Star is played)
4. Cry at Illuminations
5. Cry at other Mother's crying because their child just saw Mickey Mouse and exclaimed (I've been waiting to meet you all of my life [at the tender age of 6 or 7])
6. Hug the CM when I check in at the Poly and he/she says "Mahalo,Welcome Home",

so...... if you can be too old? I either spent wayyyyy too much money on mascara and tissues or I refuse to grow up!!!!

Too young, possibly... Too old, never

too young DEFINITELY. i've seen kids asleep in their strollers at Magic Kingdom. what good is that??

i've also seen my girlfriend's 4 year old niece get as excited about going to the local carnival as if she was going to Disney itself. when we decide to have kids.. they're not going to the park until they're old enough to make it through a full day, and truly appreciate the full specticle. WE will still go while Grandma and Grandpa babysit! :)

as far as too old? no.. i've seen full on elderly people on line for Space Mountain.. looking about as excited as the 11 year old behind them! that'll be us!

Lets look at the core of this debate. Walt was almost 55 when Disneyland opened and was about to start building another park (WDW) before he died at 65. So yeah.............no.

There was a time when I thought exactly like you do. Then I had kids of my own. Lets just say that it tends to change your perspective what good that is.

I thought the same way, so didn't bring my eldest until she was almost 2, and then only because my teenaged niece was visiting. She ended up having more fun than my niece!

My daughter and I went back a month after my niece left, so that we could enjoy the trip without a whinny teenager along. We went every couple of months after that until she was too old to miss school. My son started going with us from a few months on.

I've discovered that every phase of my life creates a different experience. Not better or worse, just different. Although I'm not looking forward to the old lady having to drive around in a scooter phase. :lookaroun

One of the things I love about Disney World is there is something for people all ages. I remember last time there I was talking to two brothers .... one was 87 the other 84 at Country Bear Jamboree...

Very inspirational and I thought in another 40 years it be great to take a vacation at WDW with my brothers.

Warning though I read post after post, mainly younger people saying these types of attractions are boring and they need to replace them, add more thrill rides.

If Disney every forgets that they are for kids of all ages .... they stop being Disney and become 6 Flags.

I loved roller coasters much more when I was 20 than 50 but that is fine Disney has attractions for all ages.

Still as per my Original Post .... "Yes when you are dead you are too old for WDW"

Like you, we have done it all and I found that the 5-8 year old range to be the most trying. They know they want to do certain things but have no clue what schedules, logistics, etc are. They want to ride the tea cups right now! The fact that you are at Sea World is irrelevant. Below that age they tend to go with the flow as long as you allow nap time and generous amounts of ice cream. Above that age they start to get the idea of doing things in a particular order and start to become more of a park companion. But just like you said each age stinks and is great in their own way.

Quote from my 82 year old father 5 years ago when he went for the first time ever..."I am never going to the casino again, I'm saving all my money to come back here!" He has been 4 times since and we are going in November. He rides almost all the rides. His favorite is Mission Space Orange:eek:.

We also have went with children as young as two months old. I can tell you that my children have been often and love it. My 4 year old can navigate Disney better than most adults. She can tell you the ride names and what characters are where. I have always loved Disney and I know I always will.

I also want my ashes dumped in SSL. Seems like a peaceful place to be laid to rest!

Never too old. Now, I find myself too old for some rides, but there is so much more there than just rides. Had some younger friends who went once and they came back disappointed, after having gone to that other place with the coasters and wizards. They actually said, "Disney was OK, but we did it all in 4 hours." I just shook my head. You can be too young and dumb.
