Can this even be considered a rumor?

And this was posted at Intercot. But was unsure if I could post a direct link here.

"No Cars retheme... I understand this is part of the NEXT-GEN project... You will no longer be visiting a test lab... A device will be used to track information as you move along the queue... You add different options as you move along... What those options are, I don't know... Then, you upload those options to your ride vehicle... Audio and video will change, but the track will stay the same... The specs you create will be shown to you as they hold up during the test track run...You may also be able to email the video you yourself in the new post show..."

Someone chopped up my original post. Most of what is shown in the quotes for me was actually from someone on InterCot web site. But because I am not sure I can put a link on here for that site, I didn't do it.

Agreed! No need for it and it doesn't fit thematically in EPCOT. We don't need another ride in EPCOT screaming "I'm based on a movie, so go out and buy copies of the DVD!" A Cars overlay at Test Track would give me just one more reason to spend less time (and therefore money) in the parks.

Other than riding once on my first trip following the Nemo overlay at the Living Seas, I haven't set foot in the Seas building, and I won't again until the Nemo theming is gone (I know I have a LONG time to wait). Removing that one ride from my schedule has cost Disney money that I would have otherwise spent in the park...not that it makes a difference to them. Cars at Test Track make me do the same thing...and cause me avoid seeing Cars 2 and buying Cars merchandise in the future.

I totally agree with you. I believe they shouldn't have gotten rid of The Living Seas original ride and went with the Nemo theme. It makes that area no fun anymore. As well as taking Mr. Toad's Wild Ride away from Magic Kingdom and putting in Winnie The Pooh. I hope they don't mess anything with Test Track.

no cars...but this refurbishment is going to be BIG for future world...pavilions will be next RIGHT after its done.

is there any significance to the words you have in caps? :)

the pavilions to the right of TT (when you are looking away from it) are Mission space then wonders of life. when you are looking right at TT the pavilion to the right is imagination, being that he said it is not imagination we can narrow it down to MS and WoL

both need updates, WoL more so than MS, for the obvious reason that it is closed :p

a MS update could be extremely simple by going the way of star tours, and having multiple ride variations, although it needs much more...

I would bet that Pixar Characters will stay away from other pavilions as long as the Pavilion has a sponsor.

Once there is no sponsor, then in comes Nemo to save the day!

:veryconfu - When you are standing in front of TT, both WoL and M:S are to the left.

The only thing to the 'Right' is the Odyssey 'Pavilion' and there has been a bit of chatter on here recently about it. I assumed that's what he was referencing.

I like the sound of that.

The two pavilions getting refurbished won't be announced until after budgets have been approved. If all goes well they should announce it after Ty is done with its refurb. With the major overhaul being done on Test track. They want to keep The focus for guests on test track. Then you will see a big announcement for the two pavilions.

And why, just why, is this not just fanboy speculation? What type of source do you have? Do you have firsthand knowledge because you are working on it? Does your wife work there? Did you pick up a dude at a bar and go back to his place and he had the plans for Epcot laid out on his table?

Your problem is, there are only two FW pavilions that can even be refurbished - besides Test Track - since you said it wasnt Imagination already. So what you're saying is that WoL and UoE are going to be refurbished soon. This is not so.

For me, this is the real sticky wicket: All projects are potential, until their budgets are approved.
