Can this even be considered a rumor?

.

It has been discussed here at WDWMagic.

http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=780328

And this was posted at Intercot. But was unsure if I could post a direct link here.

"No Cars retheme... I understand this is part of the NEXT-GEN project... You will no longer be visiting a test lab... A device will be used to track information as you move along the queue... You add different options as you move along... What those options are, I don't know... Then, you upload those options to your ride vehicle... Audio and video will change, but the track will stay the same... The specs you create will be shown to you as they hold up during the test track run...You may also be able to email the video you yourself in the new post show..."

So kind of like what they did to Spaceship Earth?

You all can take it is as it is. I'm not at liberty to completely outright say what pavilions but the chances of these projects being greenlit are 99%. These are HUGE updates to the two pavilions and will satisfy the Disney fans. However I didn't get my information from taking a man out because there is more to do than get Disney info. My sources are legit but you can take them with a grain of salt for it's my word you have to trust. Believe me that these two pavilions will finally shine as they are suppose to in fw.

Ok, ok, ok, let me see if I've got this. You ARE at liberty to come onto a Disney Message Board an anonymously post that there will be a 99% sure refurbishment of two pavilions in Epcot, you just can't say which ones?

Furthermore, you think the idea of getting information by taking a man out is silly because "there is more to do than get Disney info." Well good for you playa.

Your sources are legit, so.... YOU aren't the source, but then why wouldn't you be at liberty to say, if it's your source that got the info and not you.

Lastly, your final sentence makes me believe that you are talking about a major refurb of the bathrooms on either side of the hub. Once they are polished and cleaned properly, they WILL shine like they are supposed to.

Its been rumored it will get a Cars overlay/reboot/change. Its very possible Cars or some other theme change will happen, including possibly changes to the ride. The entire ride going away? Not going to happen.

Also, as soon as someone says something, its a rumor. The trick is to know which ones are credible.

That would actually make the ride finally interesting to me. I did it once and never had the urge to repeat it, it was completely boring.

A cars attraction, with elements from both movies could change that. Of course I don't expect anything even remotely near to the Radiator Springs Racers which seem to be the greatest ride for decades and THE reason to finally go to DCA but a decent Cars Ride would be nice.

But I am quite sure if anything will come it will only be a normal refurb.

Yes or No: The two pavilions you are alluding to are WoL and UoE.

Lock yourself into something instead of being so vague, and maybe someone will take you seriously.

Otherwise, get lost.

So YOU are the demographic they are trying to reach. Curse you!

Perhaps I would be on your side (because I preferred the classic Future World attractions more than the plussed ones) if I would like TT a tiny little bit.
But I find it absolutely boooring to death and I would prefer any change so I have a reason to visit this pavillon again.
And I have to admit I liked Cars...

Lock myself into something? All the information that I can give is that two pavilions in Future World are getting a well needed refurbishment and updates. Budget is almost approved and is 99% likely to get the greenlight. I'm sorry if I can't please you with all the information I have given. I thought it would be appreciated to let the readers on this forum know that Future World will soon live up to its name...FUTURE World. Would you feel better if I e-mailed you blueprints, concept art and all the information so that way my source would have their position compromised and possibly terminated? Of course you probably don't care anyway because you know what's going on at WDW and what's expected.

Wow, this thread is interesting!

When looking at the lines at TT and seeing wait times that are always in the top 5 in WDW every day I personally do not see a reason for TDO to spend any money retheming the ride. That is not saying that the ride does not need a complete overhaul on the cars and guide system. I have been in some cars that are really squirrly in the high speed loop to the point that the rear end is jerking back and forth as it is loosing traction or something is competely worn out to the point of failure.

Putting a Cars Themed overlay on TT would be another complete and utter failure to FW in Epcot!

You have to understand him. About at least once per week a new "Insider" joins wdwmagic and the first thing he is posting about are spectacular changes he has insider knowledge about and which are of course absolutely true.
Sadly practically none of them turn out to be real insiders. So you have to expect some distrust (and even some rudeness as some members are getting tired of the pratice) if you place such informations. It just happens to often.

Ok, so I'm not getting my hopes up, but I won't throw the new "Insider" on the rocks either. I can't help but notice a coorelation between what "Insider" is posting, and perhaps some connection to Screamscape's latest information, sounds like EPCOT's either getting some sort of attention right now, or else a couple of people are stirring the same pot.

Yeah, I am relatively new here, too, and I do see that. I guess everyone has too look at it from the other person's POV when posting. Is IS possible for someone new to join and have info right away. Perhaps that is even why they joined! I think the best response from our community to these can be 1) give us more information!!!! (in an excited manner) and 2) explain to this new person why there is skepticism about their claims nicely :)

InsiderImagine, I hope you are right!

Or this 'insider' sent the 'rumor' to Screamscape.

Once again, he already said that Imagination is not one of the pavilions he's referring to. He also said 'after Test Track'. So that is out as well. That only leaves - as pavilions that haven't been updated recently - Wonders of Life and Universe of Energy. So if those are announced, he's for real. If they aren't, he'll go with the 'oh, must have not gotten approved'. Remember, no one that is an insider claims he is an insider. The actual insider, in his story, is the 'friend' with the blueprints.

Oh, and I'm not disagreeing with your view, and I think what we have here from InsiderImagine deserves to met with scrutiny and a certain amount of cynicism. Nothing personal against them, of course, but sometimes I am reminded of what happened to juan and FLE (who got excoriated, and ended up being right). I wonder if Raven checks in later, if he can shed any light if he's seen or heard anything matching up with the rumors on WoL or UoE.

One other thought: I guess he could be referring to Innoventions as a pavilion. We've heard that rumor before, with Stark Expo replacing it at DLR and something else here. I would put that much more plausible than them reopening WoL. I would welcome an overhaul to UoE though. I haven't been on it in years.
