Can something be done about people using words of swear?

I don’t (and won’t) have children, and I’m not averse to a bit of swearing, but WDW isn’t the sort of place in which people should be using bad language audibly. It’s detrimental to the magic (and yes, I mean that seriously).

I feel like if I had children, I'd focus more effort on teaching them that the world doesn't always revolve around them, and that sometimes you need to just learn to be accepting of what consenting adults do in their spare time.

I'd also teach them that what matters it the content of what you say, and not necessarily if you're using profanity or not. The problem is not that you used a 4-letter word, its that you chose to use that word to degrade and humiliate others, or used it to try to coerce others into doing something. If you use profanity, but its used in a friendly and non-threatening manner, those who would criticize you for this have their own issues that they perhaps need some therapy to sort out.

I really don’t think it needs to be as complicated as all this. Sometimes, it’s best not to swear audibly; a Disney trip is one of those times.

In all seriousness…I don’t enjoy unnecessary colorful language in passing…it’s overt and silly.

but usually you can just ignore…the “stare and shake head” approach to shaming is remarkably effective as well

however…”what in the name of Wisconsin?!?” Is a complaint about crap??
