Can someone please explain the E-Tickets

Yes, that is the original "E" ticket, and as you all can see, 20,000 Leagues was an "E" ticket when it opened (RIP). Now you can snorkel around one of the Subs at Castaway Cay in the Bahamas by going on the Disney Cruise.

Yes, I have a full unused bookelt of original tickets. They are locked away for safety.

I posted the information from my 1973 guidebook on the other current thread about A-E tickets. There were a couple of errors on my original post on this thread -- sorry.

I realized that SM and POTC were not there when DW opened. I should have noted that on my post but put them in because they were still around when the individual tickets were in use.

I'm jealous of the E-tickets you have. I have several of each kind but no E's. As I mentioned though I have a bunch of the Magic Kingdom Club tickets that were good for A-E but they don't list the attractions.

I have like 6 unused books of tickets from 1971. My grandfather worked for Disney on the construction crew, which by the way led to some great stories, and got tickets for us all back when the MK opened. They are all stamped "complimentary" on the cover. They are some of my favorite souviners - even though I have no recollection of this trip as I was just born that year(1971)

I'd be curious to know myself....

Not that I'm suggesting anyone actually sell! I just know that to me that they'd be priceless! :)

I know that up until a few years ago, Tokyo Disneyland still used the A-E ticket system. I believe they got rid of it when it became a resort, rather than just a park.

I have some original brochures from 1977...park maps too...We never kept our unused tickets. We used to give them to a family with a bunch of kids entering the park at the end of our vacation.

It's a Small World was an "E" ticket...how exciting is that?

Hey TRAMP!! My dad told me to tell you "Hello". See you around the forums.:)

All I know about E-Ride Nights is that you pay $10.00 a person and get to ride certain rides in the Magic Kingdom.

We've never done an E-ride night...but we'll try one this year.
Don't make yourself so scarce around here. :)

I haven't been on this site in a while. I just got back on today. I've been busy, what can I say. I'll try to be on more often, if I'm not too busy.

I'll be at Disney next week and have read from this post that e-nights cost extra. What about the early entry for resort guests? Is that extra too and when is it offered?

Early Entry is for resort guests (but I haven't been lately--don't know if they check room keys at the gate. I hope they do)

There is no extra charge.

I thought that practice had been discontinued... :veryconfu

It was; now it's back. And here's the big surprise-- it seems to be back in response to guests' requests.

It's called the Extra Magic Hour and the parks open an hour earlier than usual.

More detail here.

Not as good as Early Entry (which as I recall was 1 1/2 to 2 hours before park official opening), but better than nothing.

And, unlike E-Ride nights, it doesn't cost any more.

Disclaimer:
As I get older, I find that I am more of a morning person. Besides, who can sleep when they are at WDW??

From that link, it looks like only one park opens early each day. *sigh* I guess it's better than nothing.
