I know that if we had a theme park view I wouldn't go to bed. I'd be out on the balcony looking at the park all night while listening to live365. I guess I AM the Disney nerd that my wife says I am...

Dont you know it?
I'm planning my own "Wishes Dessert Party" with candy from vending machine and beer and wine from the local Hess.

Woooo hoooooo!! Nothing like being paid in FULL!! We just paid off what we owed on our point rental for BLT yesterday! So bummed we won't be there at the same time! We'd be neighbors!!! :)

I tossed around doing the BLT when I planning this trip - Man you can get some incredible pricing when renting points and rooms are beautiful !!!
But we wanted to do the first stay at the Contemporary to the extreme..Main building, MK view and all! :)

Geeze D we really need to coordinate these vacations better! ;)

Yeah, we ended up getting a studio room for 3 nights for $644! That's almost as much as ONE night costs doing it through Disney! Renting points is the way to go for us!

And yes, ugh, better coordination of trips is a must!! haha maybe next year!! :)

It's no secret that I LOVE POFQ...but I don't love it that much!

Man oh man we are not even close to rich but we're fortunate to get decent wages and both be working so I ain't afraid to say this took a lot of scrimping and saving and some discounts to make this work, but we got it done and I can't wait. I know most of you all know where I'm coming from with this.;)

We don't do the deluxes much but I think I'd like to make it to all the ones I've always wanted to stay at before I kick the bucket.

Money well spent dude. You so won't ever wanna go back to another resort after that MK view . Depending when AP rates come out, I may be joining you.

Another one of the greatest feelings before a trip to the world... paying off the trip!!! Next up... Mickey Mail!!!!

Looking forward to your LIVE updates! (please do some! :geek:) I think I remember you doing them last year when you went because I had just gotten back when you were there and I was in MAJOR Disney Depression. It helped!

Mickey Mail..YES! Can't wait.

Good memory Tink, I did do a LTR last year.
I updated at night from the room. I'm going to try again this year.

Hopefully no sick daughter or lost wallet in the upcoming one! ;)

Congratulations. You and your family will absolutely love love love ( did I mention loooovvvveee) that room. My husband and I did the same thing in 2011. Scrimped and saved and received a pin code for a bit off the room. I cried my first night in that room. I kept waking up just to stare at the view. My best Disney trip ever. :inlove:

Looking forward to reading your trip report.

@ShookieJones Do try the WL on you next trip! It has a totally different feel from the hustle and bustle of some of the other resorts. And I love that it is small and very easy to navigate since I can get lost in a paper bag. Whispering Canyons and fun but not everyday. Artist Point is a beautiful restaurant and delicious entrees.....we will eat there again in September. The rooms are comfortable and from what the CM told me when I called...they have been refurbished...not sure if all the rooms or how extensive. 2 years ago we stayed on the 6th floor in a king room overlooking the lobby. It had a wonderful unobstructed view of the pool...very convenient to the elevators, lobby etc. The walk to the boat is very pleasant and the property is lush, green and very earthy.....smells good in the morning like the Poly. The pool is OK....nothing to write home about but I don't go to DIsney for the pool. Hope you have a great visit at the CR....I am jealous. Even though we are going in September, I still play on the Disney website to see if there are rooms available at the CR and I toy with changing.
