We are staying at Pop in Late May for like 5 or 6 nights starting on May 24th but two of us are going to the 24 hr disney party on the 23rd but are staying offsite. Disney says Im not able to add extra days and would have to pay the one day ticket price for the Disney Side party but I don't see how. Our tickets are in a package and we will have our Magic Bands prior to arrival... I don't see why we couldnt just go to the ticket office at one of the parks when we get there and add an additional 3 days (a few of us are staying offsite a few extra days after the Pop stay as well) Am I right here?

Sounds like because you booked a package your tickets aren't in effect til you check in at your hotel. i could be wrong, and I'm sure others on here would know more than I do about this.

You can extend your tickets at any guest relations to a total of 10 days. You should also be able to purchase any length ticket you choose with your package.

What you can't do is get your tickets prior to you checking into your resort. From my understanding there is or was a way to get them early, but most CMs don't know how to do it. With the new ticket system in place, that option might have been removed entirely.

Bottom line, if you want to enter the park on the 23rd you will need to either move your check in date to the 23rd, or get a one day ticket.

If you already have your MBs I don't see why you couldn't just use them a day earlier. Then later go to guest services and ask for an extra day to be added (which would be at the discounted upgrade price).

I can't imagine that the entitlement for x number of days park entitlement is tied in on the system to the start date of your hotel reservation. Sure it needs to know how many days you have and how many are used, but I would doubt there is a 'not to be used before' on them.

If you weren't getting the MBs until checkin then I could see how it would be an issue, however you said that you will have them in advance.

Anyhow, the best bet would be to try to use them anyway. The worst that can happen is that you get sent back to the ticket booth and have to pay for the day.

I'm not sure how this works since it appears you got the tickets as part of a package. If possible, try calling back and add those X number of days to your ticket. If that doesn't work, I (as in ME) would drop the package, make it room only and just get the tickets separately in advance so I can still make my FastPass selections or buy the tickets at the gate.

Just heard back from my friend in the DRC. You bands will not be active until you check into your resort. If you try to enter on the 23rd your bands will read as inactive or invalid.

If you plan on going on the 23rd you will need to change your check in date to the 23rd or purchase a 1 day ticket.

Disney Reservation Center.

As long as it is within 14 days, you are good for after you check out. The problem comes in if you try to go to a park before you check in.

Would just have to add it after I get down there since everyone in my package isn't doing the same thing right?

The last time I looked at the rule, you need to have at least one day left on your ticket to upgrade it. I think you can get away with going into a park on that last day and upgrading, but I am not 100% positive on that. What I am sure about is you will run into issues if you try to upgrade a ticket that has been fully used for more than 24 hours.

Correct. Everyone on a package has to have the same thing. If a portion of that party needs more days on a ticket, adding them at the park is the way to go.
