We are staying at Pop in Late May for like 5 or 6 nights starting on May 24th but two of us are going to the 24 hr disney party on the 23rd but are staying offsite. Disney says Im not able to add extra days and would have to pay the one day ticket price for the Disney Side party but I don't see how. Our tickets are in a package and we will have our Magic Bands prior to arrival... I don't see why we couldnt just go to the ticket office at one of the parks when we get there and add an additional 3 days (a few of us are staying offsite a few extra days after the Pop stay as well) Am I right here?

It seems like you've gotten you situation cleared up on the ticket-with-package-can't-be-used-until-checkin part of things, but I'd like to second the vote to look into cancelling your package reservation and then booking a Room Only and buying the tickets separately.

This would work as long as you don't need the Dining Plan, and if you're still outside 45 days *and* any discount you have on the original reservation is still available. Separately-purchased and linked tickets *can* be used before you check-in to the resort, even if you're using the Magic Band. It's only tickets associated with a *package* reservation that can't be used until you actually check into the hotel.

So is truthfull my best bet to pray for another pin code for late May cancel the first reservation and use the other pin code and book hotel only no tickets and purchase tix seperately? Any reports of anyone getting Summer Pin Codes as of late?

The problem comes in if you try to go to a park before you check in.

I wouldn't cancel a thing until I looked at all the options for my trip. At the very least you may have to buy those $ 100 dollar tickets for the 24 hour event if you keep everything else the same.
You can do a little pricing to see what a different start date at POP would cost under whatever discounts are available. If you can save yourself some portion of the extra price of park ticket for the 23rd, then start cancelling and rebooking. But if you are going the week of the 24 hour event, not a lot of discounts even left for that time period.

Did you ask the CM on the phone about adding the extra day at the start of your reservation? While you may not be able to cancel and re-book as a room only, they may be able to alter the existing reservation to add that day on. Though if there aren't any rooms available at the discounted price, you may be out of luck.
