Can anyone confirm what a CM told me yesterday?

So my DH and I decided to do the ultra Disney trip and we upgraded to Deluxe dining.

I called yesterday to Dining at make my ressie for CRT (ended up with a lunch - wanted bfast - but we just decided and i'm almost to my 90 day mark so i'm just relieved I got something!). It was a bad experience b/c the system kept bumping her out and I had to give her the info 5 times. I was on the phone from beginning to end for 45 minutes. She took down my cc info but assured my that my card would not be charged b/c i'm on DDD. And she transfered me to a CM who could upgrade my dining.

That CM couldn't find my ressie by my name and address and phone number and told me to call back. I was driving home from ATL so I had time - but no access to a computer until we stopped.

When I got my ressie #, I called back and talked to a CM and bumped up my dining and she said that I could now call one week prior to the 90 day mark - so if my 90 day mark was March 8t (which it is) then I could begin calling on March 1st. I was so excited!!! She said that the reason is b/c I was staying on the resort! I asked her if this was part of the new ADR system and she confirmed.

Can anyone confirm if this is true???

The reason I ask is b/c I got a text from my bank about an unusal charge, and I called the bank and she said that I got charged for CRT. This was unusual b/c I got gas in GA and a charge for ressies in FL came up. Soooo....I called back dining and spoke to someone else - she was ICKY! She wasn't friendly at all. And she basically said, well, there is nothing she can do and she sees that it has been credited immidiately but she doesn't know when I will see the credit come through. I said that I understand accidents happen but my issue is that the ADR CM I spoke to, didn't tell me she did it! She basically said that it is all handled now and what does she want me to do about it. So I asked about the week before and making ADR's and she basically told me that the other CM's just tell us stuff and don't know what they are talking about and gave me bad info. I wasn't going to lay into her, although I was tempted and I just thanked her for her help.

So I come to you all! My Disney gurus!!

Is this true - that we can now make them earlier then 90 days or was icky CM right that I just got bad info from the other CM.

Thanks all!!

Disney resort guests can make ADR's for their entire trip 90 days from their check in. So, the only day you have to pay attention to is the 90 days from your check in date...you won't have to call back every day after that to make the next reservation.

Actually, there is a limit of 10 days. So 90 days from the first day of your trip, you can make ADR's for the first 10 days of your trip. If your trip is longer than 10 days, you will need to call back.

I know about the 90 days and if you stay at the resort you can make the ressies for the whole trip up to 10 days. But what the CM said, and I'm assuming she is incorrect, that with the "new" ADR system, resort guests can now call in and make ressies one week prior to the 90 day mark. So my 90 days is March 8th. She told me that I can call on March 1st.

I'm sorry, but you are right in believing you have been given incorrect information. The Cast Member you spoke with was mistaken.

As DisneyJoe and others have stated, Disney Resort Guests can make dine reservations 90 days prior to their arrival date for up to the first 10 days of their trip. You must have your Room/Package Reservations number when you call to take advantage of this Resort benefit.

Guest staying at non-Disney owned Resorts or staying off property can make dine reservations up to 90 days prior to the date they wish to dine.

Just another comment - we're from UK and usually go over to WDW for 14 days and 180 (was) days before travelling we've always been allowed to make reservations for the full 14 days. Maybe we have been lucky!

Sorry about your experience that can put such a dampener on your vacation. :( This is exactly why I don't generaly make reservations. I take my chances on walking up to a restaurant and checking availability for that night fortunately I've never had a problem getting in. Hope everything works out for you

The 90 day window is fairly new. It used to be 180 days out but has been changed to 90. And, yes, you can make ADRs for up to 10 of your stay.

Liked it better the other way!

This is really a switch back to what it used to be....

Actually, prior to October 2005, most Priority Seatings/ADR's could be made at 90 days, with some exceptions for dinner shows (2 years), and some others that were 30 and 60 days.
