Can a dining plan be added to a timeshare reservation?

My mother is taking the family to Disney World in September (right before my AP expires:sohappy:) and we are all staying at the Beach Club Villas. She is not a DVC member, but she used her timeshare week through her timeshare company to get the week.
I have used the dining plan several times and wanted to see if it is possible to get this since we did not book the hotel through Disney. I thought that I had heard that DVC members are able to add the dining plan, but wasn't sure about other timeshare people.
I thought I would come to the experts here to find out! Thanks for all your help!!:D

Yes you can add the dinning plan. I'm going to OKW in May through a timeshare (thats not Disney), and was told you can get the dinning plan. Have fun

It has to be for duration of stay and for everyone in the accomadation, and done in advance. As stated it cannot be added at check in. Call and do it, you pay for it at check in.

I was told that you had to book the Magic Your Way Package in order to get the Dining plan. (room, tickets & dinning all in one) Is this not true?

Also, you could book your room & tickets and as late as a week before your trip, add dining. I was on the fence about the dining but later decided to add it. I was so glad that I did.

You either needed to book a Magic Your Way package at a regular WDW resort or else be a DVC member staying at a WDW resort or a DVC property to get the DDP. Staying at a DVC property but not being a DVC member, according what I've read, does not give you access to the DDP. However, this is not a situation I'm familiar with, so please do not take my opinion as fact. Perhaps someone like MagicMaker or one of the other (very) knowledgeable people here could shed some light?

You have to call the timeshare company you are going through (mine is Interval), and see if they work with Disney to include the dinning plan. If they do, you can book the dinning plan, but you can't pay for it until you arrive at the resort. You have to buy your tickets through Disney, but the dinning plan is booked through the timeshare company. Like I said, only certain timeshare companies work with Disney, so be sure to call them directly. Also, you don't need to buy MYW tickets to get the dinning plan, as long as you are staying at a Disney resort you can get the dinning plan (as long as they work with Disney to include it) Sorry to repeat myself so much, but I was very confused when I first started to book my trip. I just ordered my MYW tickets plus park hopper, and water options today, and there was no problem. Hope everything works out for you, and trust me I know what I'm talking about. ;)

Actually, for a DVC member to book the dining plan while using points, they have to be staying at a Dvc resort. You cannot use points and stay at, for instance, Grand Floridian. In that case the only way you could get the dining plan is to not use points and book a package.
