My girls had a camp rock party last night. Then I went to Target and boom!!! tons of CR merchandise. I didn't let the girls get anything...I told them they could get something at WDW...so hopefully they will find some pins for their lanyards.

Camp Rock was terrible. End of story.

HSM and HSM2 were so much better, from the plot, to the musical numbers, to the singing, and (most importantly) the acting. The kids in Camp Rock couldn't act their way out of a paper bag.

Comparing HSM and CR is like comparing apples and oranges, IMO. Hopefully, there will be no sequels to this awful movie.:hurl:

Um, HELLO - it has SHIRTLESS JONAS BROTHERS! ;)

I don't think you have to worry about sequels right away, since the brothers are very busy it looks like :

Future projects

Because of their major success with Disney and Hollywood Records, Disney has signed the brothers to a movie (Camp Rock - premieres June 20, 2008), two Disney Channel Original Series', a 3D concert movie, and a behind-the-scenes book.

  • Their Disney Channel Original Series, entitled J.O.N.A.S! (Junior Operatives Networking As Spies), stars the trio as a group of government hired spies.[45] The show is expected to debut on Disney Channel in the fall of 2008.

  • A Disney Digital 3D production crew will be filming the two Burning Up Tour shows in Anaheim, CA on July 13 and 14 [48], which will be made into a theatrical movie and will be released in theatres as a 3D concert movie in late January or early February 2009.[49]

  • The Disney Book Group will publish an exclusive behind-the-scenes book from the Jonas Brothers that will share never-before-seen photos along with exclusive commentary. The book will be published in fall 2008 and will give fans a backstage glimpse at the brothers.[50] [51

They may be not be the best musicians, but they certainly seem to be workin' it for all they can. :)

I think they will be changing the HSM float to HSM3, then after a year or so of that they will change it to Hannah/Jonas/HSM all in one show.
Something like Hannah's Camp Musical...

I will lay $100 down on the table right now even with all the things the JoBros have going on Camp Rock 2 on Disney Channel summer 09'. They don't want to wait too long to milk the new series or it will lose interest. J.O.N.A.S. & their new album "A Little Bit Longer" (Aug. 12 release) & their summer Burnin' Up Tour will have them on a high until a break from the new show in which they will start making Camp Rock 2 right after they film the last ep. J.O.N.A.S. AEfx you should really watch because they only had one Jonas shirtless for this one they are holding out for the sequal lol. (noted this was only for about 5 sec.) HSM3 will do well enough for them to consider more HSM related things but they will instead (we hope) focus on Camp Rock for a 2nd & maybe 3rd film to give HSM a break & not end up going into College Musical.

The HSM Pep Rally is so getting on my nerves. It seemed everytime we came out of an attraction it was there...like following us or something. It's time for something new. I understand it is still hot, but so are the Jonas Brothers and Hannah. A change is needed. I'm not sure how they would implement this, but in the words of Rafiki...it is time.

The Cheetah Girls...ahh, they annoy me. One of them cannot sing and acts like she is hot you know what. I also agree with someone that it would be hard to replicate them since they are a group and not campers or students.

I just got back from seeing Demi Lovato & wanted to updated you guys since I said I would. She is quite talented & sounded as good if not a bit better live. (yes she sang live it wasn't just a backing track I heard) She sang "That's How You Know" from Enchanted/Disneymania 6 "This Is Me" from Camp Rock & also a few songs from her soon to be released album. I have to say I was the most impressed with the songs from her new album & is someone who deserves a album deal out of doing the movie. I should have video (on youtube) & a few pics on myspace if you want to check it out for yourself.

it was no high school musical, but it was decent. i know people hated HSM, but that movie really had everything in the recipe of musical theater success. Camp Rock was cute, but I wasn't humming the songs for the next two days after i watched it.

also, does anyone else feel kind of bad for nick and kevin? I feel like joe is the one always in the spotlight, when if you think about it, he only sings about half the songs and when hes not singing he bangs a tambourine or claps along. I demand more credit to kevin and nick who actually play instruments. its jonas injustice.

All right, all right. Let the news be spread. They are building a Camp Rock theamed section since they have received so my hype from the tweens. The new area will be called Universal Studios.

Seriously though. Just because a new preteen movie hits The Disney Channel doesn't mean there's going to be a new attraction or parade theamed around it.

Now, if you want to see a great new Disney Television series then you need to check out the most awesome new show Middle Man!!!

I'm not gonna lie...I'm pretty sick of all this young Disney "talent". I know it's what sells and most of Disney's key demographic (youngins') eat it up...but I don't think it'll hurt Disney to just stop it all now, atleast before they try to start pushing it all in 5 years even after nobody enjoys it anymore.

Yeah, I'm sick of it too. Most of them have crashed and burned anyways. The only one who I really think has set up a good career for himself is just Shia Labeouf.

Besides, who needs Jonas brothers songs when you have this?!:lookaroun

I don't know, Vanessa Hudgens is going to perform at a water park outside of Baton Rouge sometime this summer. I guess it's her big comeback tour after those nudy pictures.

water park & comeback tour oh yeah those fit perfect together :ROFLOL::hammer:

her new album is coming out but as far as a "comeback" she will never be more then "Gabriella" from HSM. Ashley Tisdale has a small chance since she is on other Disney Channel shows.

Raven I admit the Universal comment was in many ways sooo true but its bound to happen having these kinds of things in the park so might as well throw it all in one theatre so those who don't want to hear it don't have it rolling by them on the parade route.:animwink:

I find it hard to agree that Disney Channel stars have no "crashed and burned anyways". Shia LaBeouf is huge. Hilary Duff did an excellent job separating herself. The Jonas Brothers are really much, much bigger than the Disney Channel. These people obviously have some talent and charm, I can't just walk into Hollywood and demand to be a star. Looks like they passed the "who gives a ________" test. I don't really understand why people are acting almost as if they're jaded. Call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure that if you're sitting on this site then you didn't exactly write your entire platinum record by yourself at age 14 like the Jonas Brothers have. They are certified platinum and do most of their writing themselves. Oh, and they happen to play a lot more instruments than I can. Hell, Nick Jonas can play drums, guitar, tambourine, piano, and probably much more. His vocals are also spot on. I'm not a superfan or anything, but I certainly admire talent like that. Either admiration or downright envy. It would be just incredible to play sold out amphitheaters like those kids do. :o

These kids don't just get signed by chance. They obviously have marketable star quality that someone believes in. Not everyone walks around with the voice of Demi Lovato. Just saying. :D
