Well that stinks I like Camp Mickey Minnie. I am not to thrilled about Avatarland.
I don't necessarily need to see these particular Fab five figures replaced elsewhere. I just think that they work surprisingly well, and would love to see similar things elsewhere.Well, River Country is long gone, and I really can't see those figures appearing in Frontierland or at Wilderness Lodge. They both would seem pretty jarring if the figures were placed in either of those areas, and in the case of Wilderness Lodge, unless I'm mistaken, it's themed to national parks, and I thought that national parks forbade fishing. I really don't know much about Fort Wilderness, beyond the fact that it's a campground and not necessarily the kind of camp that CMM is supposed to be.
And what is this Duck family overlay anyway?
If anything, CMM shows that a North american area could totally work in DAK. Imagine if the current CMM were the entrance way to Grizzly River Run...This area was an idea that never reached its potential. So much could and should have been done with a North American wilderness area. Ah well. At least FOTLK is going to an area that makes more sense for it. Now its just NEMO thats the only misplaced show in AK.

I also enjoy the Adirondack summer camp theme of CMM. I enjoy that particular atmosphere, which reminds me a bit of River Country, Fort Wilderness, and the like.
What I mean with a 'Duck overlay', is that CMM has as its basic theme 'nature camp', but with an overlay of the Ducks visiting it: Ducks with a capital D, as in Donald, the nephews, Daisy. CMM is a mix between a 'human' camp, and a cartoon camp. They somehow pulled that off quite well.
It's an Adirondack summer camp with camping Adironducks!

Only dvc gets the rush treatment.
Ah, of course. thanksAfrica
Yeah, CMM was basically a spot to concentrate most of the meet & greets.
Does anybody know if this includes Gi-Tar Dan? Will we be seeing the character in another area of the park, or will he and his guitar be let go?The other characters will find new homes throughout the park.
Could that be him in the right of this photo? From Steve's announcement:

It was Roger...and from all accounts, TDO burned their costume, so...This is truly tragic.
But wanna know what's funny? Ricky B. traveled to Anaheim to get his picture taken with a foamhead.

Nah. A fully developed land is better than CMM. There's no need for false nostalgia now that CMM's days are numbered. CMM is a temporary land, a placeholder. To me, it is just surprisingly good at that. CMM is more pleasant to stroll through, and better themed, than the boring stretch from Africa to Asia, and nearly all of Dinoland. Not bad for a low budget temporary area.Who wants to start a SAVE CAMP MINNIE MICKEY petition? Website? Blog? Sit-In?
