Here is the website that my AP Physics teacher made for his Physics students. It's got some great stuff and you can e-mail him from the site with any question you may have.

He's an awesome teacher. I passed because of him.

My daughter (currently a college freshman) had a great time discussing HS English with mightyduck...from the teacher's perspective! ;)

English is my favorite class...except there's TOO much homework.

I also like my elective "Journalism"...

I'm taking it that your daughter doesn't like English?

I taught journalism one year, too--it was great. My kids worked hard, but they had a lot of fun! (I think the "get out of jail free" press passes had something to do with that!)

My daughter loved AP English...when she wasn't agonizing over it! She just wasn't crazy about 12th grade English (she was taking AP History, Spanish, and Biology...so something had to give)...the first time in years she was in a "regular" English class. And no, she doesn't hate English...I think she just found it entertaining that teachers could dislike certain students...just like students dislike certain teachers...and that mighty could sympathize with "The Daughter's" frustration with some of her classmates.

Oh, I get it. :hammer: ...it's been a rough week!

I'm taking all AP English, Biology, and a Social Studies class, but my Algebra 2 is regular...because I can't solve equations to save my life!

Mighty, do you ever have students that read too much into a story, or over analyze literature TOO much? There is this kid in my class (that is generally disliked by everyone), who cannot read a story and give a regular explination, he like freakin' creates theorys and stuff!

The teacher says stuff to him too! Every time he raises his hand, everyone sucks their teeth, and the teacher bites her lip!

Ah, no, I can't say I have had any of those recently.... But I know the type.... How annoying!

Well, I went back to college part time a few semesters ago to finish my education degree. I had to sit out this semester because of not knowing where we might be living....but I plan on going back.

I worked in Special Education with BD students. I would love to finish my degree, but I'm feeling so old compared to all the other students. I'm afraid I'll be retiring before I graduate :lookaroun

Good for you for working in Special Education! That's a hard position. My mom's friend works with Special Ed kids too.

I have, all told, about 35 special education students mainstreamed into my music classes. They are both a joy and a challenge - my hat is off to those of you who work with special ed classes full time!:)

I will be a history teacher in the future (maybe about 3 or 4 years)!

Some of you may remember (or not:D ) that I used to be an architecture major. Well, Surprise! I'm not anymore. As college students are so prone to doing, I switched majors.

If I end up deciding that I don't want to be a Music Teacher, that's what I want to do.
