Actually the name was for Elvis Costello (and the general cool character of the name), though I'm not as interested in EC as I used to be. Now I like things like Andrea Bocelli (I'm old) more. I do have to admit I kind of liked some of the things EC did with Burt Bacharach (Imagine Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin staring into the camera for emphaisis "Real old").

Ooo-Kay. There's seems to be a huge problem created by "MR. Fievel, sir" out of nothing. It's easy, but people complicate things. If you go and check every post I make in CHIT CHAT section you'll see I'm joking, like most people do in here. What I don't get is why when I get ironic or post a whole ironic post like "CALLING THADDEUS" Fievel thinks I'm talking serious, or trying to bother someone, or even being childish. Maybe because I don't usually use the SMILEY faces to make people like him understand I'm joking, and I just do the joke: If you get it, excellent, if you weren't quick enough to understand that it was a humorous statement, shut up, but don't get reply with a serious you-are-being-rude post, because it's simply nonsense. It happened before, "oh-casually", with Fievel, when I said MSU seemed to pop-up from everywhere at WDW he thought I was being rude (obviously I was joking and MSU got it: then he started with his wacky avatars due to that). Then again, the first post in here, I was joking with "This post makes no sense", why would I bother to post it, if I think it sucks? Because it's a comic relief. Fievel came again thinking I was talking serious. Maybe, Fievel, you have a personal thing with me, and everytime I joke you think I'm insulting or trying to be rude, so people read your responses and trust your judgement and a wave of people think it's the truth before I'm able to clarify things, like the other case or this one. So, what do you want me to do? Stop being funny? Adding a little smiley face whenever I joke? Sorry, I won't , it's not my style and a message board won't change me. If I want to post a smiley I will, if I don't want to I won't. If, you Fievel, have any problem with me, or I made something that was out of place I challenge you to say it right here. I don't have a problem at all, cause I know I just "WAS RUDE" once with labelling you baldy, which I don't think it will cause you a permanent life trauma.
Aaaaaaalrighty then.
Party on.

that being said, luau, keep in mind that there is no real way to tell if someone is being serious or not, when you can't see their face or hear their voice. so in the future, i reccomend that you go out of your way to make sure people know when you are joking around. either use the stupid smilies, or say (j/k) or something, so it is not possable for people to mis-interperate (sp) the meaning of your post. just a suggestion.

I also strongly suggest you to use smileys. As stupid as you think they are, they avoid all these stupid arguments, so I guess that after all, they are not that useless. In case you have not noticed, not all members speak the same language, we are not all living in the same country or even continent in the world, so we all have different conceptions and backgrounds. It is only clever to write properly and try to be as exact as possible with our comments to avoid misunderstandings. The fact that Fievel replied to you only proves that someone didn´t understand your "joke" and maybe there was a chance for you to explain yourself there or apologize, yet you didn´t do either. You have also mocked other people in different threads... So if those were jokes too, and I were any of those members, I wouldn´t have appreciatted it either. I guess only Fievel was vocal about it. I chose to ignore your posts, but this time I decided to speak too. I think you can tell when things are not coming across very well... an apology could be good sometimes, you know?

You have some people complainning about your rudeness, guess that should mean something, no? I hope this doesn´t cause you a "life trauma"...
;)

All right... party on! Let´s move to something else on the agenda! :)

FantasiaBish,

Are you from the area (of Graceland)? I do think it would be interesting to see someday.

gary, yes I live in and was born and raised in Memphis, home of the King, if you get a chance to get down here it's very interesting, and I'd be happy to be a tour guide. That also goes for anyone else on the forum who want to visit the River City or the Casinos south of town (that's where I work) just PM and let me know if you're gonna head down and I'll at least set you up with food at the casino...The casino deal is of course for those over the age of 21  sorry to you yungin's

FantasiaBish,

Thanks!!! I don't have any immediate plans, and I certainly wouldn't want you to go to too much trouble, but it would be great to know someone who could offer a little advice if I ever get down that way.
