Thank God yes, Darrel! I went downtown today and you wouldn´t even think there was a hurricane! Of course, there are so many trees missing in the main square that is sad to see it so "see through", but I was impressed that everybody has gather together and cleaned up and restored the damages. :sohappy:

I just went and tried to pick up the Ryan Cliffnotes... they are sold out, seems that it's quickly becoming a best seller and classes are now assigning Ryan as mandatory reading in Psychology classes.

Had a great weekend actually. Nice wheather. Took a picnic up to Va in the Blue Ridge Mountains Saturday. Ate at Friendly's and went to the park today with my son. Very fun weekend. How about you?

It wasn't as bad as I expected, actually. Managed to finish the movie by lunch, so I could enjoy half of the Saturday. Went to see Scooby-Doo (more on that later). Today I worked on the elctions. It was as bad as I predicted, but comparing to the rest of the town, it was pretty good.


Anyone here seen Scooby? I really don't know what to think. I love the cartoon but the movie was pretty lame. But all the American reviews I read kinda liked it, so I'm thinking maybe I missed something. They stereotyped the characters, turned gy into a pot-head (Mathew Lillard was probably the BEST thing in the movie, he was awesome, the voice is perfect), him and Scooby have farting competitions (?!?!?!?), Welma is kinda lesbian... I don't know, it coulda been SO much better... And why was the Mistery Machine blue?!?!?

Not to mention the stupid ending. I thought the Velma character acting was great, but the Lesbian part was dumb. I also found sa lot of subtle and sometimes not so subtle indications of things that have no place in a child friendly Movie. I wonder how Hanna-Barbera took the additions. It could have been just as good or better without them. I do like the haunted ride and there were some very good "scooby" parts to the movie. I am very mixed on whether I liked it or not.
