I wonder if they'd take a silver, 2002 minorly dented thanks to a Texas woman tourist, Hyundai Accent stick shift on trade? Hmmmm...

Linda is planning on getting the Chevy Avalanche, which is similar in concept, but much larger:

Chevy Avalanche

She wants to roll over my car like they do at the monster truck rallies.

It's way too quiet in here. WAKE UP, RYAN!! :D I assume that no one else is awake yet & of course, that makes perfect sense since I'm the oddball. Just figured I'd check in & say a premature "Good morning" to everyone. Y'all will be getting lucky today since I won't be around too much. LOL Bish will be calling in a few hours to cement our evening plans, so the phone line must be free, then I have errands to run, so try to keep Ryan alive without me for a wee bit.

Will update everyone on how the evening goes when I get back in & of course, I'll pop in a time or two during the day. In the meantime, I'll sit here & wait for someone to wake up. OK, so I'm not THAT pathetic, but I will be around for a bit. Hope everyone has a pleasant Tuesday!! Till later....

 Mornin' Gary! Ya snuck up on me!

That is very cool, but I'm prone to problems with larger vehicles. I am too used to little bitty boxy things. Let's put it this way, my first car was a Ford Escort hatchback. :hurl: I did also mention my Geo Metro fixation. Yes, I'm a dweeb with bad taste in cars. I know this. LOL

I love small cars! The largest car I have ever owned was a Plymouth Neon. The only reason I got one that big was I needed four doors to get Ryan's car seat in and out when he was a little tyke.

I never have and never will own an an automatic transmission.

e-i-e-i-a

UM...ok, that will only be funny to me because I'm a dork at 5AM.

I like it! Your pick. Which of the two should I saddle him with until he tells us his real name? e-i-e-i-a has a more lyrical quality, but effluvia is more repulsive and annoying (repulsive and annoying is much easier than lyrical for me)

I was forced into stick driving totally by accident. A friend of my mother's offered me a car when I was 18 because he was getting rid of it anyway & knew I badly needed one. It was a Mazda GLC. I had to get out to TX to pick it up & then drive it back to FL, which sounded fun to me & I got to visit family in the process. So, the day I was supposed to leave TX, he gave me the keys & I was packing up the car with some things when I realized it was a stick shift! EGADS! I learned to drive that thing after a 20 minute lesson, but I was scared to death because I knew I wasn't ready. I had the midfortune of hitting rush hour traffic in Houston, which was pure hell. I pulled off the highway & called my mom crying, telling her that I was surely going to die on the trip home. LOL I finally did get the hang of it & stuck with sticks since then. I LOVE 'EM!

OK...I'm too talkative today....umm...there's Dawn's history chapter for today, folks. :D

Effluvia will definitely confuse him more successfully & perhaps, even motivate him to reveal himself.

Hmmm...do we really want him to ummm....reveal himself? :lookaroun

Houston traffic is the absolute worst :hurl: I've been there six or seven times in the past 5 years. The one time, I had a convertible Mustang for my rental, but I never got it over 30 MPH:brick:

At least there aren't too many hills. I learned to ride a motorcycle before I could drive a car, and when I first started driving a car, I wanted to put my foot out the door to keep myself from sliding backwards on hills.

:sohappy:

Effluvia it is!

I think Freak is the one we really don't want to reveal himself. (particularly after Ali ate it last night)

Well I better start getting ready for work. I'll try to check back later, but have a great day if I don't get back to you, and give Bish a kiss for me that could be considered sexual by anyone who cares to see it that way since I am secure enough in my own masculinity to do so.

I went to bed just before you got up.
