...That puts that short-lived rumor to bed.

...

I think we'll have to wait for September, 2011 and the big D23 Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center to get any more confirmed rumors on theme park expansion. Until then, we'll just need to be content with pictures over construction walls and tidbits from Al Lutz and other online sources. See you in September, 2011 gang! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgCt-F22Ex0

By the way, this exact thread is up at another Cali based forum and I have to add; you know all those stereotypes about Californians? They are like so all true. :hammer:

I don't know what stereotypes you are talking about, but I am surprised DL fans are willing to let their Toontown go while we would love getting it. It is awfully ironic.

I just noticed that we here tend to analyze everything down to the most minor detail while they tend to view things in a bit more......um....... "superficial" way. :zipit:

Like totally. :)

This may be true now. However, back in the 90's TDA was just as bad, if not WORSE, then TDO. TDA actually let DL get dilapidated and was truly in awful condition. Only, when the 50th celebration was a huge hit did they realize "If we spend money then we will actually make a lot more!" Hopefully once, ST2 or FLE hits and makes them a lot of money they will realize this too. They wouldn't get projects shoved down their throats and instead actually want to invest in the parks.

Quoted for truth.

This is why I invested so much time on this forum defending DCA 2.0

If it succeeds it makes it very difficult for the bean counters, marketing types or MBA's who don't "get it" to justify not investing in the parks.

And indications are DCA will succeed beyond even the most optimistic hopes. Well, except mine.

Well said, I am hoping for the same. I would say that the major success of WoC is a big early indication of how successful that expansion will be. I wouldn't even call it an expansion, it is more like a makeover.

Yes. The next major development at DL will be in the festival area, likely as an addition to Frontierland.
Tomorrowland will get a repurposed attraction rather than a true expansion.

It is my understanding that WDI is considering both a new attraction for the Peoplemover tracks as well as a TRON attraction should the movie prove sucessful for Tomorrowland.
