Hi folks, dining in Cali Grill for the first time in 2 weeks and just wondering about the dress code!

Will i be ok with dress shorts, a t shirt and flip flops??

The dress code says that no flip flops are allowed! so I would just wear sandels instead!

You can try and get away with flip flops I have seen many people wear them but have been the fancy ones!!

Please people, at least completely up your feet when dining at a restaurant. NOBODY wants to see your feet while they eat.

NO FLIP-FLOPS....NO SANDALS

Didn't your mother buy you some shoes?

My feet are lovely!LOL

No, but I could never wear shoes in that heat!! I would be roasting!!LOL

I would say jeans would be allowed with a nice top!
You don't have to get every piece of clothing right! They would not send you away!I think they would send you away if you wear in park cloths or looked really sloppy!

Officially dress code is Business Casual.

Dress Attire is Business Casual
Men: Dress slacks, jeans, trousers, or dress shorts, short or long-sleeved shirt with a collar required. Jackets are optional.
Ladies: Jeans, skirts, or dress shorts with blouse or sweater, or a dress required.
Not permitted in dining room: tank tops, swimming suits or swim suit cover ups, t-shirts, hats for gentleman, cut offs, or torn clothing of any kind.

Read into that what you will. I think tennis/running shoes are OK.

The California Grill is a really nice restaurant, and one worth dressing up for. Instead of trying to figure out how to squeak by on the dress code, just embrace it, go all out, and make dining there an experience.

It might seem like a bit of a drag to have to pack an extra pair of shoes and a sportcoat, but I think if you're planning on visiting an upscale restaurant, you need to factor in the appropriate clothing.

Sorry to disagree, but I have several pair of dressy sandals that I wear to black tie affairs with cocktail dresses and even gowns - I would be overdressed wearing them to the Cali Grill. I have dressy leather ones that I wear with more casual dresses. I also have leather "flip-flops" that have a low heel that I wear with black or white linen pants and a dressy top.

Again, I wouldn't hesitate to wear them to any restaurant on WDW property, as long as I wasn't walking too far.

Dress leather sandals are just fine even if they are of the thong variety, flip flops that are made of rubber ARE NOT allowed. T shirts are allowed as long as they are clean and neat with no sayings on them.

We usually bring one set of dressy clothes for our Signature dining reservations, but go casual all other places. Khakis (shorts, skorts or trousers) and a polo with sandals or nice sneakers.
