Hey everyone going to the California grill with my Girlfriend, Now were both under 21 so we wont be drinking. But chances are we are going to have an appetizer, main course and desert. So on average how much do you think the bill would be?

Thankz!

You can find the menu with prices here

My fiancee and I (over 21 and got drinks) had the dining plan, but we *would have* spent $117+tip+tax when we ate there, but I never would have ordered the most expensive entree on the menu had we been paying for it.

Make sure to go just before 10pm so you can see Wishes at the Magic Kingdom!

BTW I'm originally from RI :)

On our last trip there, our bill came to about $90. We did not get any alcoholic drinks, I think we started with salads, we did not buy the most expensive items on the menu, but we did split a dessert. It's not cheap!

Wife and I always splurge when we dine at Cali Grill. If it's great food, great atmosphere, great service, and again GREAT FOOD, we certainly don't mind spending a bit of money.

Have a great time, and if you like sushi, get the Tuna 3 Ways, and share the pesto Flat Bread App!

I would say the average is $100. Splitting an appetizer and dessert would be the best way to keep it below average.

Well then you've never seen chicken fingers done right!

Thanx, the mac and cheese sounds pretty banging, same with the deserts, everything else isnt to my liking.

Do you know if they let you order off of the kids menu if your 22 (well ill be 23 when i go next)?
At most other restaurants I would say yes. However, at CG you might be charged a surcharge if they let you order at all.

DISCRIMINATION!!!

If they don't want people to order off the kids menu taylor the menu to ALL 18 and older guests. i doubt im not the only one that doesnt want a slab of beef of chicken dropped on my plate. i want food that tingles the pallet......like deep fried chicken fingers or wraps or melts.

Oh is there a kobe beef burger anywhere on site? I've always wanted to try kobe.

Excluding the Ravioli, the average entre cost is 35.57. Times that by two. 71.14. If you get some waters, then add zero. For people over 21, we'll say a beer each or maybe a couple sodas for the younger crowd, so we'll add an additional $10. 81.14. Plus tax. I read the rate is 6.5%. 5.27. Plus a 20% tip. $81.14 + $16.23 + $5.27 = $102.64. So I'd say be prepared to spend between $90 and $110 without appetizers and desert. Substitute water for alcohol or soda and you could get an appetizer or desert.

Discrimination? I think I'll try that argument next time I have to pay an adult ticket price at the movies. After all I take up the same seat as the kid right?:brick:

There is no such thing as a menu that will please everyone. If one existed every single restaurant on the planet would serve it.

Most adults I know want something a little less bland that run of the mill chicken fingers when they go to a high end restaurant. A kids menu at restaurants like this is basically means to an end. It provides a menu that satisfies the average unadventurous child pallet at a greatly reduced cost when compared to the fine dining enjoyed by the adults. Without this menu adults would either have to dine elsewhere or get exclude their kids. For an adult to dine of the kids menu without a surcharge would defeat the purpose of a kids menu. Now the reality is that most restaurants at WDW will allow adults to order off the kids menu without question, but it is my understanding that it is left up to the discretion of the restaurant manager as to whether they will do this or not.

The only place I know that serves Kobe beef around WDW is a Japanese Restaurant of the same name just off of 535. It of course is not in hamburger form and is very expensive.
