Cabin upgrades?

Thanks so much for all the info, y'all. I was thinking GTYs got assigned around 4 weeks out. I've heard of folks checking-in at the port and discovering their stateroom locations have been changed. That would really kill me if that happened to me and I ended up in a noisy room.

Dave, it sure sounds like DCL tried to sympathize and do all they could to make it up to you. Being in a noisy room isn't ideal but I'm sure it eases the sting when you feel like someone is listening and cares. :wave:

So my TA said that Disney is not offering GTY bookings if I wanted to pay for the next category up. To me this means that the cruise is (A) too far away to offer these bookings or (B) there are more than plenty of unsold cabins as of right now. Hope this means good things for me when I get to the port! :wave:

GTY only shows up when the category is almost full, so it sounds like its not very full, yet! Although some categories fill up much quicker than others.

We leave in 32 days and everytime I check there are lots of verandah staterooms still available (we are oceanview right now) I have my fingers crossed that we might get an upgrade....depending on the cost difference I'm sure I could talk the hubby into it.
