Trip Report C’mon Everybody, Here We Go….*COMPLETED*

Think of all the joy you’ll find
When you leave the world behind
And bid your cares goodbye!

Ahh, a relaxing getaway from reality. No cares or concerns. Just bliss.

Not exactly a perfect picture of vacationing at Walt Disney World during Spring Break, is it?

But we’re going anyway. We’re Spring Break Veterans and it’s time for the annual reunion.

Two years ago we missed out on our usual adventure thanks to Covid. The stay-at-home vacation just wasn’t the same! (Although you can read about it here: https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/the-“no-trip”-trip-report-completed.964173/)

Last year we were able to return, albeit under Covid protocols. We believed that enduring masks 24/7, plexiglass and vinyl dividers on attractions, mobile order Door Nazis and limited shopping/dining/entertainment would be acceptable in exchange for the very low crowds that we’d experienced on earlier pandemic trips. But the parks were packed and we ended up spending a lot of time at the pool (which wasn’t a bad thing. We’re pool people.)

Now that park capacity has increased and nearly all Covid restrictions are gone, we expect to find the shoulder-to-shoulder spring break crowds of yore. And long lines. So we’re packing our patience and “It is what it is” attitudes.

Because in spite of all the negatives WDW is still our happy place.

We can’t wait.

When: April 3-9, 2022

My plan is to go live upon our departure. Fingers crossed that Disney WiFi will be my friend.

Speaking of friends, we hope to meet up with a few. You’ll have to follow along to see if we do.

Up next is a hidden gem.

Since the digital remaster of the film and addition of Coco, this has become a must-do for us. Nearby audience members today were positively commenting over various scenes and singing along.

Tuvalu, you’re not supposed to wear your 3D glasses outside the theater. 🤦🏻‍♀️

It’s a full house. Naturally the CM is requesting guests to move all the way down. “The blue seats are the best!” he exclaims. (All the seats are blue. 😉)

But self-centered people insist on sitting in the center.

The CM announces, “I can see you and am coming into your row.” He is wearing a mic and shames the selfish into moving all the way down.

I love him.

Once everyone is settled he says, “Now look to your left and fasten your seatbelt securely into the buckle on your right.”

Suddenly hundreds of heads are looking down to their left searching for the invisible seatbelt.

I really love this guy.

Tuvalette starts kindergarten in the fall and is already reading (as was her dad before he started school.) She adores puzzles (the 500-1,000 piece ones!) and Legos.

Tuvaleen is a free spirit who loves to sing and dance and play. Both girls are in ballet and this grandma cannot wait for their recital in June!
Thank you for the update!! YAY for good readers!! 🤩 🤩 That's so awesome that she likes huge puzzles, too. I am so glad you get to go to the ballet!
Rather, I make substitutions and modifications (“I want the burger toppings, but not the burger. I want grilled chicken, not the ranch chicken. Brioche bun, not multigrain.”
I did not know we could ASK for this! I'm like you, I don't need the meat but bring ALL the toppings, please! :)
peanut butter does not belong on ice cream
I respectfully disagree. I think because of Beaches and Cream, it's my go-to topping now.
We walk the resort grounds, enjoying every moment of the ambiance found at WDW.
This is how we feel, too. The rides are great, but the ambiance of "home" is special for us. That's why we can't stay away for very long, lol.
One last surprise. The Beach Club Easter egg display.
WOWZERS! Those are super impressive (not surprisingly). I'm assuming your favorite is the Little Mermaid one? I am guessing it would be Woody's. ;) ;)
Peanut butter goes on everything
Thank YOU! 🤩
Pooh, you are my first love. Visiting you second this morning does not mean you’re second best
Pooh respectfully asks that you arty-Pooh him soon. :)
The CM announces, “I can see you and am coming into your row.” He is wearing a mic and shames the selfish into moving all the way down.

I love him.
This man deserves a cast compliment! Awesome!
He wasn’t supposed to be here today. But he couldn’t stay away from his crush…Em
Yes! @riverside maybe we will read about this crazy adventure in a trip report...this Spring? ;)

That soup looks soooo good!
New England Clam Chowder in a black sourdough bread bowl. J didn’t eat the bread, but he wanted the “big bowl” of soup!

Loving all your photos of POFQ room and grounds as we will be at this hotel September 2023 for the first time and it looks like everything we could wish for. Your live report is great.
We love POFQ. I’ll be sure to post more pictures for you. Bus service has been great!

@slipperalwaysfits ~

*Never be afraid to ask for a menu modification. Even if it embarrasses your traveling companions. :geek:
*We can agree to disagree on the peanut butter thing. 😉
*Of course the Little Mermaid egg was my favorite (you know me too well!)
*One ride on Pooh was enough for Em this trip. Arty will have to wait for another vacay.
*Be on the lookout for @riverside next TR. The story is hers to share, but she might have beaten @Darstarr for worst airline experience.
