First thing I noticed on the wall when I walked into the indoor portion of the queue (about 2 days ago):

Not to mention it was just all around dirty/aged. I tried getting a few pictures but they didn't really come out all that well or show how it looked.

I rode it twice, the first time it worked fine for me. My friend in another vehicle complained that her gun wasn't all that sensitive/picking up everything, but I think she was just bad at it :p And the second time it broke down. We weren't evacuated or anything, but we say there for a bit, and when it resumed, our scores reset.

If the lights come on and the score resets that means someone exited or attempted to exit their vehicle. The ride doesn't break down. Guests cause all the breakdowns on buzz.

It appears that they updated Buzz's face during the queue for the ride.

It really needs it. I don't know if it's just dust or an unfocused projector or what but it's pretty bad to look at. Much worse than 5+ years back when it was kind of cool.

It's one of the reasons I no longer follow the Disney Blog. They were talking about the cool new animated characters in 7DMT and I mentioned how they already did that with Buzz and it's a great effect but that they needed to keep up with it because it looks like crap if it goes out of focus / gets dirty or dusty.

Needless to say my comment was too critical and wasn't approved. If only I had said something vacuous like, "Oh, it's SO magical!," or, "I can't wait to experience the magic!," or, "Something.. Something.. Magical!!!"

I think I added in that Mr. Potato Head, using the same technology, while not as bad as Buzz, wasn't looking to great, either.

I get that it's their blog and it's a business and all that. Still, when someone points out something that needs to be fixed, they ought to address it instead of sweeping it under the rug and waiting for more "magical" comments.

I question whether Buzz can be properly refurbished in the amount of time alloted. It's pretty screwed up. Cars don't spin. Some guns don't work. The seats/cars are so dirty they they're gross. The above mentioned AA problems.

All the wall coverings in the queue are place right over the queue set dressings from delta dreamflight. If you're ever with a guest in a wheel chair and have to load in the unload area. Take a look at the mural to your left in you can see the ridges of the delta logo that used to be there. (Well it's still there, just covered)

The sad thing is that out of all of their "retreads", Buzz is one of the better ones. It's not a great ride or anything. I'd say, "Just OK." That's a successful retread, though.

I remember noticing the area where the Animatronic Buzz was usually seen at was covered when I was watching newer video uploads of the ride on Youtube.

It's common on busy days if guests perpetually stop to take pictures and keep the line from moving causing empty vehicles to cover buzz for around 5-10 minutes

This term is also used for the bar along the track that supplies power to the vehicles.
Ah, did not know that. Thanks for the new knowledge. Any incite as to what this permit entails? Changing the way the power the vehicles? Replacing existing track?
